OK, where is Bean? All I get from google is..... usless crap. I blew the internals apart in my Stealth last night, but my wife's rig is still running, If it's close enough I may be able to make it. |

Bean Hollow is Hwy 1 down 15-18 miles south of Half Moon Bay on the coast.

Douglas does dump into the Lake entrace that goes to Dottons. Follow the signs out to the point. Its like 4 miles or so. Right when you get to the point, the road makes a loop. You can see the dirt road to where we go at the Y in the oncomming lane. Go down there and you should see the rocks. There is an easier path to get down, but I haven't quite figured out how to explain where the entrance is. It is opposite the parking area and a little hard to see.

| Took my lowered subaru wrx out there and it has a front spoiler. No problems just watch out for the bumps... Going back up the hill you should be fine as long as its dry, although I have awd |

Was that before or after all that rain? I would not want to take a Mustang or a WRX down there... Granted, I did see an Acura go on down, but drive at your own risk. I think if you park at the lot area and walk down, its not that far.

The reason I asked is that there is a section that has lots of ruts from rain runoff that even made my 4x4 Explorer hunt for traction. (my truck is stock with street tires...)
