Default Ascender Battery and Electronics Plate

Introducing...

Vaterra Ascender Battery and Electronics Plate
This plate is made from 2mm thick aluminum and is designed to fit the Ascender Chassis.
*Note - This will only work on the 2 longer wheelbase options. Short wheelbase compatible version will be coming soon!
Winch servo compatible version also coming soon!

  • Easily move your battery and your electronics to this plate.
  • Compatible with almost any sized battery pack - you are no longer limited to the shorty packs with the stock battery box!
  • This plate makes the Ascender battery mount legal for SORCCA competitions. ("Batteries must be chassis mounted and should be hidden from view.")
  • By moving the electronics to the plate, you also no longer need a long servo wire for the steering servo.
  • Break-out panel for winch servo compatibility - easy to remove if needed.
  • Easy to mount with no modifications needed - just remove the old battery box, and with only 4 screws it can be installed in a couple minutes.
  • You will likely need an additional velcro strap to secure your battery. These are available at most hobby stores.

Now available for pre-order for a special pre-order price:

Ascender Battery & Electronics Plate

Normally this will be $17.50 shipped, but pre-orders will only be $15, that's a savings of almost 15%.

This item is currently in Pre-Order Status. This means that your order will not ship until the first batch is manufactured and ready to go. Typically this is no more than 3 weeks from the time you pre-order but depending on production time, may be longer.

Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions below.

Now includes support for those wanting to use a servo winch.

(You should get a rotary tool if you don't have one - they are great in general for this hobby.)

All existing pre-orders will be updated to this design so that if in the future you decide to use a winch servo, you will be able to break off that part of the plate.
For those that don't, the plate will still be rigid enough to mount electronics to.

Pre-Order Update:

The pre-order was placed a little bit before Christmas, and the shop I get these made from told me they were going to try to get them out before the 25th, but they just let me know they were too backed up on orders, and will be running them very soon. The pre-order run should be done early this week, and I expect to have them in my hands early the week after and will ship them as soon as they are here.

There is still time to get a pre-order in and receive the pre-order discount. After the item is in stock the price will go to the normal price, so get your orders in very soon!

Thank you all for your support, I can't wait to see these installed in your rigs! Please post pictures once you have them on.

Thanks!

The first pre-orders are going out today. Your order is part of the second batch, so I would expect about 2 weeks from now.

For those that have pre-ordered, keep an eye out for your tracking number very soon!

I do offer international shipping. However, your location doesn't match.

That raises a red flag, and makes me a little uneasy about it.

However,
