yeah just a little coverage

It's nice that we was invited to the event, but wasn't as expected :?

The 1:1 event was very nice, alot of carnage Just glad to see noone was seriously hurt in the incident where the guy flipped over, blacked out and headed straight towards the crowd at full speed

The worst I have ever seen at an event was a guys buggies throttle stuck as he was going over a obstacle. He tried to steer away from the crowd but unfortunately he ran over three people that were sitting down and didn't see him coming. That was in St George in 2003.

:? So the "little" coverage is sarcastic, or was there really no interest there???

No I didn't mean to be sarcastic, by a little I mean not much. Which was unfortunate.

well on Fri. when we got there, they knew we was comming but had no area setup for us at all. got the booth setup and just played around on the 1:1 course. seemed everyone broke a ton of stuff we had some interest in it on fri. from the spectators, but nothing like it should have been.

So on sat., JIA and CSR took their trucks and went and found some rocks and setup a small course next to the booth. Once we had rocks to play on,every person in the Xplex was standing there watching and asking a million questions.ESPN and the local paper was there taking shots of the trucks and asking for info and all that good crap. so needless to say, saturday was alot better.

We had people from both UROC and the Xplex tell us that they were gonna take care of us and get rocks delivered. The rocks never came. Which is understandable, they worked on the 1:1 course, parking, and gravel roadways literally up to the last minute.

EVERYONE loved the RC trucks! The folks from UROC and Xplex came by and thanked us several times for coming and putting on exhibitions, really helped fill the 'dead spots' in the 1:1 action.

I think we'll see great things come from this event. ;)

Here are a few pics....

The RCCrawler/RCDriver booth early Saturday before the fans arrived

In the afternoon, got a lot more crowded than this later in the evening

The 1:1 course doesn't look too big and bad.....

...'til you see people and RC's on it! HUGE!

Carnage Crew, Jason and Aaron

A few of the rollovers.....

I just got home, and I have to say-I had a great time! Thanks go out to JIA, UROC, the X-Plex, and everyone else involved.

I'll have to post some pics when I get unpacked.

BTW- Dude-Didn't know you were there. Wish you woulda told me, I would have liked to talk to you about the TLT.

Saturday was definately better than Fri. in terms of visitors at the booth, but I think we got better coverage by the announcer guy Friday night. Oh well, it was fun, and I hope to be there again next year!

Oh, as usual...I broke everything I brought.

I don't think he was there, Kris. That pic is linked from Off-road.com.

There was lots of 1:1 carnage and plenty of r/c carnage, too! I wasted four Hitec servos in two days! JIA got a busted axle when he let a kid drive Ralph. Fishmaxx blew up a clod axle. Learned this morning that Cory (EeePee) also broke stuff after I left last night, bet he wishes it had been his stick that broke! Sorry to hear about that Cory, hope you recover quickly. ;)

Well guys this event was awsome. I have some awsome video i will post shortly.

We got to the hotel around 3 in the morning Sat night. It was a long night. But well worth it. I think our guys had the most carnage. All the trucks breaking, (EXCEPT MY TLT) and EPee broke his ankle on one of the hills. They were slick up there walking around. you had to be real careful. Hope he is doing OK.

Here are some pics Fishmaxx, JB and myself took taking turns getting in Jason's rig. Thanks Jason

MORE TO COME VERY SOON!!!!!!!!1

Looks like a good time. Wish I could have been there.

I don't know if you all know about it but theres gonna be another 1:1 comp in Jellico,TN pretty soon. Would you all want to go to that also? I'm going reguardless,my son loves going to the comps and we go to almost every one at Jellico. That place is packed out with spectators. I believe that WEROCK is putting this comp on. I'm thinking it was in Aug. or Sept. so theres plenty of time to fix rigs, get extra parts and save up a little cash. I'll see if I can dig up the dates if ya'lls interested.

O.K., I found it,the comp will be Sept. 16,17 and 18th. I'm not sure who to contact to see about a booth but I'm sure it would be doable. If you all want to and I can help with anything let me know. I live about 1 1/2 hours south from Jellico,if anyone wants to meet up and ride with or follow.
