|  anyone NOT play halo?
i never cared for the game, but the last week ive been playing 3 live at a buddies house. i suck horribly and never get better but racked up 3 kills one match.  i was still like -19 or something lol.i dont see why this games so addicting, but i also dont see how people get SO good. im always dead before i ever even see who killed me.  12yos are ****ing crazy.i dont get the lingo either, heard all kinds of yelling about BAs, pOwned, 'nades, 2 on my X, hes at the rock window or yellow sword room? i have no clue what anyones talking about ever. its kinda fun playing(dieing) i guess. i just dont see the draw, maybe if i was good it would be cooler. |

I know what you mean about the lingo thing. I ended up on a Halo forum once and it was like reading some foreign language. Never played the game though, and don't really see why so many are into it so much. I stick to games that are half way believable like COD more than I do the futuristic or alien type stuff.

i dont like the multiplayer on halo but i really like the single player campain im pretty partial to mouse and keyboard controls over a game pad as for multiplayer cod4 is pretty cool and there is always the tried and true counter strike v1.6 |

yeah i found at about age 22 or so i lost intrest in games. i dont mind watching freinds, and will occationally grab a controler. however a couple of upcoming baja racing games have me getting ready to dust off the old consol.

Halo multiplayer sucks but the single player co-op campaign is awesome.. The best multiplayer games are Call of duty series with cod4 being the best so far.I got addicted to cod4 for awhile and maxed out my rank to level 10 gold cross and now i hardly ever play it.. |

No halo for me. I was never really into vid games growing up. I always had consoles, and would play madden when that years new one came out. Until I played guitar hero... Holy shat is that game addicting. |

I own PS2 and PSP, so no Halo for me, either. Besides, I'm mostly into Racing and sports games (Madden, Need for Speed, Gran Tourismo, etc.) But I have played it, (quite a bit, actually, never was very good at it) and I know what you mean. Those guys are nuts. We need to send Halo players over to iraq. War would be over in three days. They wouldn't even know WHAT the hell happened. My wife's little brother is all into Halo and all that stuff, he's really, REALLY good (came real close to being invited to G4, that's like the video game olympics) so that's how I've played it. He comes to stay here over the summers once in a while and we hook his XBOX 360 to my 46" Plasma Hi-Def.  But for XBOX 360 Gears of War is the shiz. WAAAAY better than Halo.  |

So by the time 2 came out a few million people already had it down. Those same guys carry cover to 3 (highest selling game, or media in 24hr $125Mil) and it was easy to get used to , just had to learn the maps.... Don’t give up dude! Get a good group of guys to play with on the regular, maybe do some LAN games (link Xboxes together, play 4vs4, 2 separate screens). The rank you carry will also match you up with the same rank players too, but if you don’t play ranked games then there are a bunch of people that go into unranked and try to learn with guys that know the maps better than the neighborhood they live in. I personally love Halo1,2,3! I play them for the story mostly, but got pulled into live... can't wait for the movie. Spartan 117 signing off... | |

As a Halo "Fanboy" since the good ol days of original XBOX I say you either like it or don't. Most people either love it from the first time and are hooked or they are not. I have mastered all three games, played thousands of hours online and at Lan parties and you know what, I still can't play it for hours. I don't get into it like I used to. Maybe I am getting old, but the games just don't grab me by the sack anymore. Thinking of selling the 360 for crawler stuff, lol. |
