Those type of loans are not meant to go full term, they are there to get people with little money down into a house and building wealth.

Exactly. A big problem also is that people were doing interest only loans. So their payment was really low, because they weren't paying any principal. That was a stupid move. Had they been able to build enough equity, they would have been okay. Some places the values dropped. They rolled the dice and lost.

I am a staunch conservative hater , but I see nothing wrong with this, on the surface. As long as those houses are in fact empty. If people are still living in the town/city, and they have proof of it, then there is nothing gained/lost from this.

Both sides do this, though, which I think is an unfortunate necesity of the system because both sides will try to skirt the line of cheating votes.
