Damn...I havent listened to them in a LONG time. I used to love their demo "Breeding Death"

I never really like CC except Butchered at Birth.

Nile and Morbid Angel are awesome live! Deicide used to be pretty good live too.....but Glen Benton is fat as hell now!

There are a few good death metal bands that are new. Job For A Cowboy and Lay Down Rotten. I have also really been into Through The Eyes Of The Dead (with their previous singer) lately. Here is one of their songs:

Although, they have a little bit of a Hardcore influence, still have the deep vocals.

maybe because some turd bands feel the need to throw a random blast beat and some gutteral vocals in their metalcore song for 5 seconds, and then n00bs call it death metal

I'm of the opinion that "artists" (and I use that term loosely) today don't make music to make music, but instead make music to make money.

Great music died along with Detroit's muscle cars.

I'm glad that can't be said about death metal, because there is no way DM musicians are in it for the money. Rap stars, mtv butt-rockers.... yeah. they are in it for the money.

Deicide
Wormed
Epoch of Unlight
Bal-Sagoth
Emporer
Behemoth
Amon Amarth
Dying Fetus
Hate Eternal
Soilent Green
Immolation
Incantation
Vital Remains
Napalm Death
Gorgoroth

they aren't in it for the money

This is pretty cool learning about others on RCC who are into DM!

listening to this now... it is sooooo good. This is from the 2004 "Reigning Blood" tour they did with Slipknot and Hatebreed. During the song "Reign in Blood", blood would actually rain from above allover the band. Everything was soaked in fake blood. I have the dvd of this and it's fawking awesome. I saw this tour in Little Rock, Ark- but this was one of the shows where Slipknot headlined, so the raining blood didn't happen.

Jeff wasn't in the right spot, so most of it missed him.
