Default who listens to death metal?

I listen to a lot of different genre's of metal, but DM is my personal favorite. I also play the drums for a death metal band. I'm just wondering if there are many Dm fans out there in the crawler world...

some of my favorites ( not necessarily DM)

Suffocation
Cannibal Corpse
Origin
Nile
Death
Meshuggah (prog/experimental/rhythmic influenced badassness)
Opeth (prog/death metal)
Necrophagist
Metallica (older material) (more thrash but still cool)
Cephalic Carnage (grind)
Decapitated
Cynic (prog/experimental/happy music)
Cryptopsy
Zyklon
Dim Mak
Angelcorpse
Spawn of Possession
Behold... The Arctopus (instrumental/wtf/badassness)
Into Eternity (prog/metal)
Tyr ( nordic metal/folk)

and the list goes on and on

occasionally listen to the nowadays but I'm more into Rockabilly/Psycobilly now, it's kinda like retirement for punk.

How in the heck did Devil Wears Prada get classified as Death Metal?

Last I checked they were a screaming, whining, pissing-and-moaning-worse-than-linkin-park-wanna-be-a-hard-sounding-rock-band band.

I've been listening to a lot of Dimmu Borgir lately. Got into the black metal when I was living in Germany.

Of course there will always be the classics:
Deicide
Six Feet Under
Cannibal Corpse
+many more I'm just not thinking of at the moment.

If I remember correctly I think that was the first song I heard from them. I do like the older stuff better though when it was all still in Norwegian. (even though I dont understand one word of that language)

Kind of like Rammstein then?

Hear it in German and it kicks ass.

Hear it in English and it ruins the song from that point on.

If you guys like Rammstein also check out KNORKATOR

you might like them ..IMO they are a great band , although mostly popular in their native Germany I am a big fan and have all their albums

As far as Metal wannabe kids ...
the thing I hate most about these under 20 Emo pricks is that when they try to get into Metal they are always not satisfied because of gay ass reasons such as ;

#1 I hate this singer he doesn't have long hair...
#2 They look old and fat ...

There is so many of these comments to great music videos that it makes me f%$n sick to the stomach to think that the future of this great music style lies in the hands of such idiots!

You say that as if it's the first time it's been said.

I'm of the opinion that "artists" (and I use that term loosely) today don't make music to make music, but instead make music to make money.

Great music died along with Detroit's muscle cars.

There's still great music being made, they just don't play it on the radio. I do agree though, art in general is mostly dead. How the hell is a giant inflatable turd art? I just don't understand how half the shit being pumped out nowadays can even be considered music, much less art.

Do you wear girl pants too?

I don't discriminate between metal genres too much, but favorite death metal album has to be "Live Cannibalism" or "Gallery of Suicide". Cannibal Corpse was the first death metal I ever heard.
