thats hilarious that you said that, i worked at a utica michigan one ( jiffy ) and the valvoline around here had a few double gaskets come in on us. or finger tight filters etc. horrible stuff really.

this one guy came in and said my car is a little low on oil i think. i just had it changed and when i moved it i noticed some oil. we heard him coming for a good minute or so before we could see him btw. i pulled the plug and was able to put it right back in. finger tight filter with double gasket !!

he even had oil on his back windsheild too! but i realize that it changes from location to location. trust me there are jiffy lubes in the same district that i wouldnt even tell someone to take there care there...

I once went to a Jiffy lube, they insisted on changing every single fluid in my truck.
after driving back to my place (about a mile and a half) I was hearing a strange noise, they only put 2 quarts in.
the original bill they wanted to stick me with was over $300.

figure's it was a ford owner ....i know some buddys that had a late 70's / 80's plymouth station wagon that they used to haul there chevy dirt track car to races....one day after getting a truck to haul the car, they dumped all the fluids from the motor and tranny filled the gas tank started it up dropped a brick on the gas peddle and the thing ran for 45 minutes shuddered and stalled....they waited 30 minutes till the smoke and steam settled from coming out of the motor....started it back up and it ran for another 30 minutes till it seized...........bob

lol ive actually went in for an oil change once, and they told me that i need to change my air filter he showed me a dirty standard paper air filter. funny thing was, my car had an intake installed w/ a K&N cone filter.

i made sure to get that oil change for free plus coupons for 5 free more synthetic oil changes and a season pass for a hand carwash place.
