The flares would never last on the trail with me behind the wheel....

I am hoping to avoid that kind of damage on the 4runner, but its a risk you take when wheeling

Gotta love the '85 graphics

did a little more work today, and filled in the angled cuts. I used a 110 welder on the fill plates, seemed to lay a pretty good bead considering the welder isn't made for steel that thick. I'll be using a friends 220 welder on the mounting brackets and side bars.

Got a little more done on the rear bumper today. Of course I marked the holes for the mounting brackets wrong...

Finished up the bumper today, well for now its finished. I am going to add some frame mounts to the side of the bumper later on. Also going to trim the rear fenders a bit, and I will cut the bumper ends to match.

Yours is at your local steel yard, some assembly required

My old Canon digital rebel died on me a few months ago, well today I picked up a used Canon 10D to replace it So on the way home I snapped a few pictures to see how the camera works.

I also started cutting out the rear fenders and painted them black for the time being. I still have some rust spots to patch, and holes to fill in. I am going to try to finish them up next weekend, depending on the weather.

Here are the pics
