I really like all the detail... how did you do all the rust spots like that? Your tubework came out great.

| Thanks, I really liked how the kick out worked on my pickup. So I designed these to have a little kickout as well I did design them in Solidworks before hand, so I had a plan with angles and numbers to go off of Quote:
Thanks, I am starting to get the hang of this tube bending thing

Nice fabrication work! I have an 85 4Runner myself, and I'm looking to get some 33's soon. What is the rim width and backspace you have on your 33's? |

Finally got some new tires on the 4runner. Picked up a set of the new MT/R's with Kevlar sidewalls, 35x12.5 15's. Also installed some 1.5" wheel spacers and front certi-fit fenders recently. |

What are you trying to be as cool as me with those black fenders?? My axle is sitting home in the garage in a complete clusterfawk of half assembledness because one of the 600$ 4130 Chromo birfields is not machined correctly so now my stepdad's friend is going to machine it so it will work... O and UPS lost one of leaf springs from my 3" rear kit from TG I want to know how the hell you loose a 77lb leaf spring

Figured I should update this thread, been piling up parts faster then I can install them Installed high steer back in November. And upgraded the front brakes in December. And recently installed a set of Marlin XD 4.7 gears in a spare tcase. And I have a pile of parts that continues to grow. I need to head over to my buddys shop and do some painting so I can start installing some of it. Parts that need painting - Budbuilt single case crossmember Ubolt flip plates Rear disk brake brackets Rear calipers Master cylinder Also have a E-locker that I am going to install up front. I need to machine a drilling jig to modify the front housing. Also need to wire up a switch for it, should have the harness any day now. With the front getting a locker now, I picked up a set of 30 spline longfields to go with it For the rear, I am going to install a spartan locker, its a light right style locker. Down the road if I find another e-locker at a killer price, I'll toss one in the rear as well. Starting to plan out a front bumper as well, and looking at picking up a smitty built comp series winch to go with it. |

Good progress man...I have been looking into doing the 4.7:1 tcase kit myself...I have a race clod on the bay now which I am hoping will fund the gear set for the case and a rear bumper... Still no SAS for me yet...Stepdad's friend never machined the axles...I did call marlin and they said its probably the housing and I need to grind it something to fit them?? Gotta get the shafts back so I can figure out WTF is going on once and for all.. |

Doing the 4.7 install was a fun project, and its nice being able to do it on a spare tcase. Took me 2 weeks to get around to putting it all back together again. I am planning to dual case the truck next winter, if not sooner. I'll set the old case aside for now, and tear it down once I buy the adpapter. Assemble the crawl box, then drop the 4.7 case and put it all back together again. What was hitting on your longs? The knuckle ball does need to be ground out to clear the longs. This is something you check before installing the axle shaft. I believe bobby has the install guide on his website, did you ever call him up to discuss it? As for a rear bumper, check this one out http://4xinnovations.com/pages/guarding/rearbumper.htm He is willing to change up any design of his too. So if you have some other ideas in mind, give him a call or email. I bought the sliders and tube doors for my old truck from him

Do you know what needs to be ground down on the axle? Just check the long site and there wasnt anything showing what I need to grind? As for the bumper, I am liking TGs rear bumper and they have the 4.7:1 kit as well so I can save a few bucks on shipping ordering it all from the same place. Just saw this and maybe you solved the issue. Are you sure the housing isn't tweaked? Jay |

| Unlikely Jay because the problem doesnt happen with the stock birfield. I had a machine look at it and all the measurements were checked and it checked out good...In fact the marlin birfield is only .002 larger then the the stock one so grinding the housing definitely wasnt it. Only thing we could assume is that the internal bearings are bad because it only goes to shit when every thing gets bolted up and now there is pressure on it.
