I don't think they nailed it but that may be because I have a different opinion of what nailing an IPA means. If I recall that one was too malty for me, but it's been a while.

You will have to wait!

Had some killer chili tonight. Slow simmered with Guiness.

It would be way too rude to post a comment about that red thing up there in the corner, so I'll refrain myself.

One of my all time favorite seasonals is out. I saw it in the 7/11 on the way home today and just had to pick up a 6 pack.

Ask and you shall receive,

I actually called the brewer to see if he had any bottled up so I could mail you a bottle since your not going to be able to find it anywhere else. He said not right now but there going to do another batch soon (unfortunately not as strong this last batch supposedly although) And then will have labels printed for it and bottle some for retail sale so when he does that ill see about getting you a bottle.

Here's a couple pics to drool over, I seriously cant function after a couple three 24oz glasses of this stuff... hence this small sifter since its only noon here and I wouldn't hear of wasting any beer just to take a pic

The pic shows a label from the last beer I had in the keg, labels werent available for this one yet.

Two of my most favorite beers right now.

Mountain Sun's XXX

XXX PALE ALE
A big bodied pale ale chock full of extra goodness. Extra malt, extra hops, extra yeast, & extra love. They don’t call it “The Crippla” for nothing!
OG: 1.072 TG: 1.014 ABV: 7.6%

And Asher Brewing's Green Bullet

Green Bullet Organic I.P.A.

While hoisting a heavy load of hops, the Green Bullet sets out to solve the world’s problems one beer at a time. This brew delivers nothing but the highest grade tastes for only the finest palettes. Green Bullet is brewed with the finest organic malted barley and organic hops, and is vegan friendly. Better ingredients make better beer. Cheers!
IBU=40, ABV=7.2%
Keg=$139 30 Liter Keg= $89 1/6 bbl Keg=$65

Should be a fun night, can you guess which one is for my wife? She picked it hoping to find a beer she likes.

I hear Dogfish Head 90 minute Imperial IPA is kind of a chick beer

If you get Twisted Pine down there, you should grab a 6-pack of Hoppy Boy.

I ran a quick search and didn't see this posted, but I definitely could have missed it.

I got to pick up some more new beers today while we were out...I noticed this one company that has several variations with the same label...check it out...I thought the label was appropriate for the RCC crowd

sorry for the cell phone pic...I didn't pick any of these up...they weren't my choice for beer.

I would have to pass on these as well since they seem to be in violation of my "Green Bottle" rule.

Boo.

So, I went to the corner store to pick me up a fresh 30 pack of Natty Ice. My buddies have been chattering on about this year's Great Lakes Christmas Ale, which I don't really care for, but can enjoy, I guess. But they've also been mentioning how it's out of stock everywhere already, and there they are, about 6 six packs in front of my face, so I figured I grab one simply because I can.

I thought the guy rang up the 30 pack first as the register showed $14.99. Then he says, "That'll be $32 (something).",

I'm like, "Whhaaaaaaaaaaaat!?" Like Chris from Family Guy...

"Yeah, that beer's expensive."

Lame.

I got a whole set of proper beer glasses along with a book written by the late Michael Jackson, the beer guy, not the pop artist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson_(writer)

I use that one exclusively. Seems to be my preference, cause the snifter is kinda goofy looking to drink from.

So, how was the Great Lakes Christmas Ale? I haven't seen a single bottle here yet... I'm a big fan of their Edmond Fitzgerald porter, so I was looking forward to trying their holiday brew.
