The more important question is: What are we going to do with a bajikamillion dead squirrels? We can't make bacon out of them. Quote:

Here's a photo from a few months ago of one that escaped the Squirrel Kingdoms test facility. Brutally fast and bloodthirsty. It was ultimately brought down with a Weed-Eater. We expect that not all squirrels will participate, especially the ones used to human contact and that rely on us for the bulk of thier food. There will most certainly be splinter groups, both militant and peaceful that do not support the judgement or ruling of the worms. We already have a few in place that relay information to us. | Ah. Not to fear. My people have things well under control. Nothing enters this solar system that will do any serious damage. Remember Shoemaker-Levy? The "asteroid" that broke up and plunged into Jupiter? Total coverup. What really happened was that we intercepted a fleet of warships headed for Earth. Once we established thier intentions, we took control, altered thier course, and drove them into the planet. |

| Quite honestly, it is. Financing for this project has run thin in recent years, and there has been talk of scaling back even more than we already have. Of course one of the first things that go is security, the results of which were witnessed with S-L. Normally they would have been stopped well before entering the solar system, but we've had to pull our parameter in to keep an even distribution of forces. Any large impending threat that can't be dealt with by local privately owned forces will trigger an immediate military backup from the nearest system. |
