I've always admired Tony Thompson of Chic and The Power Station. He was a great powerful and rhythmic drummer (RIP Tony). http://youtu.be/AbaOPA6nD30 Also, I don't know who the drummer for Mutemath is, but he nailed the drums in this cover........very Copeland-esque? |

Billy Ward is ferocious and completely underrated. Short and grainy but oh so nasty: http://www.billyward.com/ Last edited by CreepyCrawl; 06-18-2011 at 08:49 PM. |

Nick Mason is my favorite old school drummer. Domingo "Sunny" Ortiz is my favorite percussionist. |

Interesting. And here's the newest Primus song, featuring Jay Lane! And an old favorite played by Jay Lane. Sweetness! |

Yeah, pretty sure that's been posted here, but I enjoy it. Possibly the best song on the album. I watched a video from him describing how hard that was for him to float those double kicks out there like that, cause he's usually a pounder.

It's a great song. He actually started using triggers live just for this song. There is no way that the bass drum part can be fully heard without them. The part is crazy and it takes about 6 months to learn. | |

I know he has already been mentioned and laughed at but... Travis Barker Reasons, he shows a lot of dedication just like all of the other drummers listed and is now taking the time to go through otherwise crappy songs, and add some nice beats and drum-work making them acceptable to listen to. Anyone that can take a crap song and make it tolerable at the very least gets props in my book. And while Blink 182's music isn't hard to play or all that great he did do a whole tour playing with only one hand because he broke the other arm, and to me that's just dedication to the fans not to wimp out and cancel a tour over something that happened like that. Dedication like that just equals win in my book. You did ask for favorites not necessarily all time best. |

This was cool, if for nothing more than the slow motion shots in the end. |
