usually only catch about 1 foot whitings here sometimes we eat if we usually we dont just cause of all the work thats involoved

I have fished in the Mississippi river for bluegills, crappies, perches, walleyes and sunfish and sometimes for bass. But 99% are released.. I rather eat trouts from the streams inland. Fishes from the Mississippi river isn't really healthy lately.

here are some of my lattest catches.

1lb smally :



7 lb channel cat



both were released. we did catch a bunch of 2 lb -4 lb cats one night but i didnt feel like cleaning any fish.those are the perfect eating size.

I don't eat em, but i sure enjoy catching them! I fish bass tournaments with my dad, so everything is a catch and release.

Took some time monday morning to go do some casting off the dock, I didn't feel like taking the boat out because I only had about 30 minutes. Low and Behold I catch this.....
