| Well, down here we have some of the best, inshore around the mangroves, or off shore in the gulf with many different species. You never know what you might catch, unless you're targeting a particular type, and even then you might get a surprise. Take a look at what this fella hooked. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Vp6bTa4clM |

I practice mostly catch and release. I keep a couple trout and couple panfish during the icefishing season. When I head to Canada on vacation I will keep some panfish, bass and walleye to eat up there. My favorite fish to eat hand down is walleye. Hard to beat breaded and fried walleye fresh out of the lake. Freezing fish kills the taste.

i grew up on the Atlantic fishing everything from spade fish and yellow fin tuna to mako sharks. i dont like to eat much fish, but the sharks and the chesapeake blue crab are very tasty .. the best part of living in this part of V.a. is the ocean and being a couple hours from corolla, nags head and hatteras island where you can reel in mako's off the beach. i once told my dad i was going to buy a boat he said "you dont wanna own a boat you want a friend who owns a boat" probably the best advise he ever gave me nice cat by the way !! |

Love fishing for salmon. Love to eat salmon. Love to smoke and eat salmon. Here's a 25lb king I caught a few years ago... not the biggest king, but it was the biggest that our crew caught that year. SS |

I like to fish, but I don't eat fish. I'm just a catch & release guy unless I know somebody that wants fish, then I'll take some to them. I love to fish for northern pike and trout mostly. |

We fish on the average 3-4 times a week. Both Salt and freshwater. The bay is roughly 10 mins from the house. Halibut, Stripers, Sturgeon, White Bass, Leopard sharks, Threshers and 7 gills. Also get a ton of Mud marlin ( Bat Rays). Freshwater we fish for pretty much everything. Planter bow at the lake down the street. 88lb bat ray..... garbage but are fun to fight. this one took about 30 minutes to bring in and 2 people to lift up to the pier. |

I fish for trout. I keep and eat 1 fish a year. I like to look @ topographical maps of the Clorado high country and find cirque lakes with streams running from them. Just grab my pack, tent and the necessities and go in the wild for a day or two. Fishing is great. I have found places where I am almost positive I am the first person to fish there, as every cast yeilds a trout. Its a lot of good time with yourself or others. No one else hikes up 14'ers to go fishing. |

Around home, we fish for Kokanee Salmon, rainbow's, cut throat and the occasional bull trout. A couple years ago, we we're fishing Lake Koocanusa and caught our daily limit of Kokanee (50 each, each day) in about 2 hours trolling. When we go out to the coast, we like to fish out of Westport, WA. We fish for rock fish and Salmon. We've always had good luck and brought home some rock fish and a couple Kings. We've also caught Dungeoness crab in the boat basin in Westport using our fishing rods and crab snare traps |
