i cant say enough how meticulous and detail oriented mr penske is. hes on another level... you would never ever see his completely chromed out car transports and trailers dirty. when it rained (which was every afternoon in miami) his crew immediately shammied and detailed EVERYTHING.

and his personal car collection in michigan... holy crap guys, hes got cars on shelves like we got rc's on shelves. insane.

those shoots were absolutely the funnest stuff i got to do while working on thier advertising over the 16 years i did it.

I am irrationally terrified of bees due to having allergic reactions to stings when I was younger. But, I found this little guy in the driveway, and thought he was dead. But I touched him and he moved, but very slowly. So I had read online to give them sugar water, so I mixed some up and fed it to him. He drank some, perked right up, and was gone shortly afterwards. I got some decent macro shots before he left though.

Ooh, awesome shot.

I'm opposite with bees. My dad had beehives when I was growing up, and I got stung very rarely, but I built up a tolerance for it. I got stung a few years ago, after stepping on a bee and it got stuck in my shoe. The stinger's venom sac was flat, so it ALL pumped into me, and after about 2 hours of minor itch and pain from the penetration wound, it stopped hurting at all and I forgot about it. No swelling, nothing.

Also kind of impressive if you think that those little bees make such a huge difference in agriculture. Too bad they're disappearing so fast, and not many people care. I read about a bee keeper in Florida that lost 3 million bees when the county sprayed pesticides because of that stupid mosquito born virus that everyone was panicing about.

Thanks fellas. I probably won't die. I just feel like shit, fever, chills, nausea, etc. I've only had to go to the ER and get a shot one time, when I was a teenager, from a red wasp sting. I don't usually mind honey bees and bumbles, they usually won't mess with you unless you disturb a nest. Besides, I like oxygen, fruit, veggies, honey, etc. All wasps can die and go straight to hell though.

I beg to differ, if you look closely there are only 6 of the 9 recoiling, one on each turret not recoiling.

But,, a very cool pic none the less.

Pedantic technicality I know but seeing as it's more likely to be a worker than a drone I corrected it for ya

Good job on working through the fears, allergic reactions are nothing to be taken lightly so I wouldn't say the fear was irrational.
Macro is cool isn't it, such tiny delicate things but functioning perfectly.

I was under the impression from my research that the yellow spot on the face IDs it as a male, but I could be wrong.

Too bad the big ships are gong out of fashion, if not anything else they are awesome floating artillery platforms, and they must have more impact than a handful of M777 lined up on the ground.

Okay maybe 16 inches are a bit silly nowadays, maybe tear those off and replace them with a lot more smaller caliber guns, maybe something like 8 inch and then have 4 X 2 stacked at each turret location.
And paired with some form of speed-loader as the big guns are not exactly fast loaders.

I would not be doing anything naughty within the range of such a ship

Look for its ovipositor, that's the quick way.

The drones are also about the same size as the queen, she won't be outside the colony. You can hear the difference between drones and workers, the drones are noticeably deeper pitched

My neighbor a 1/2 mile away keeps bees and they end up in my pool skimmer all the time.
