Back in 2011 the racer Georg Plasa (51yrs old, from Germany) from that video crashed that car during a hillclimb race in Italy and died. Crazy thing is, while watching it I had thoughts of how scary it'd be if he crashed that car, and unfortunately that's exactly what happened... but not at that particular track.

I've been to Germany and watched a Hillclimb race like this video shows. They are incredible... all sorts of exotic machinery and also neighborhood garages running their slightly more pedestrian cars... I'll take this opportunity to post up some from the one I went to separately from this post.

I think hillclimbs are generally less safe due to the fact that they're usually on closed public roads, so none of the typical race course safety measures (run off room, tire walls, etc) apply. Not to mention, just the name implies there may be large drop offs if you leave the road, a.k.a. Pikes Peak. They actually do a Hill Climb here every year now in the Joyce Kilmer memorial forest.

Also, 25 years ago today, a young man named Ayrton Senna won the Donnington GP, and was presented a trophy with Sonic the Hedgehog on it due to SEGA being a big sponsor.

Crossbows are cool, my Dad has one. But if I'm shooting arrows, I prefer a regular bow. I actually really miss having a big archery scene near me, I shot in leagues all year long. Then again, I spent a shit load of money on five different bows and all the equipment so maybe not.

Thanks for sharing those pics durok. Something tells me you wouldn't want to challenge that LB Bug. Porsche wheels, wider fenders, roll cage etc. Probably a bug plopped on a wicked 911 if you could do that kinda thing. Definite sleeper i suspect.

I have always been a total sucker for cross bows, but no way in hell can you get / use one legally here, a regular bow no problem just need to be 18, but a cross bow,,,,, hell no

That being said of course i have made a couple over time when all the other kids go bow,,,, of course i have to do something else.
