I'd still turn in an application and resume, obviously you are qualified for the position. If you don't get an interview you can call the ACLU and file a discrimination case based on the fact that you are gay.

Don't tell my wife!

I did two of the interviews this afternoon. It was a little odd, but both went smoothly. Two more next week.

Technically they were both equal, with strengths in different places. The older guy will probably be a better fit than the fresh out of school guy. It will be a mostly unsupervised position and the younger guy was a little green when presented with handling 3 or more things at the same time. The new company is an SAP shop too and the older guy has SAP experience.

Next week I have a guy with a name I can not pronounce and a woman, then give my opinions on the four.

The HR people are not happy I am leaving, nor are a few VP's that are staying on. I will play nice and probably collect some consulting fee's from them in the short term after March.

I have several leads already for future employment, but they are all after March when my current management team settles into their various positions. A few of them are off to "clean the fat and refill with good workers" type positions.

A little time off in March may not be a bad thing with my son due the last week of Feb.

Get their contact information too. It might be helpful to be able to get in touch with them later.

Sorry to hear this Richard. Colorado is a nice place to live

They are all on my Linked In

Tempting, but I'm bit much of a winter guy. Cold screws with my bad back. But if the right offer us there I'm where the money is at

There's an old Baltimore saying that is used when someone insults you they way your company did- 'f*** you and the horse you came in on'!

Pound sand has my vote. A very similar situation hapened with me 20 years ago. I quit. Started my own business practically the next day and within 18 months wound up with almost 75% of their customer base. Soon after, the doors on the old business closed for good. Please tell me there is no "non-compete" clause in your contract assuming you have a contract. Good for you if don't.

F*** them and don't look back.

You're a bigger man than I! My entire department was let go at the end of Sept, after they told us all we had nothing to fear regarding the merger. Pfffttt. Good luck with everything man and I hope you find something right away. Unemployment doesn't pay dick!
