Default How long is to long?

I was just curious your guys opinion on something. How long is to long when ordering from a company when it comes to receiving the product? I ordered and paid for a product from a company (I wont state the name of the company yet since they are on here and pretty reputable) on the 6th of this month. I got a email with the form notifying me that the item has been electronically setup on the 10th. On the 12th is when it actually looks like it was turned into the shipping hub to ship out. Today is the 16th and I have still yet to get it. Keep in mind this was a item that was suppose to be shipped out within 2 business days and I paid for priority 2-3 day shipping.

Am I jumping the gun on being a little on the upset side? I would be pretty pissed if I actually needed the item right away (Which I dont since its winter but it has stopped by build), but still think its the principle. I have ordered parts from 3 different companies from farther away locations AFTER I placed this order and have received all 3 of them already.

So really, how long is to long?

I understand your frustration but, you should contact the company in question and see what they have to say.

My wife says to long is a good thing.
I would get ahold of them and ask whats up.

Confucius says contact the vendor as poo poo happens and it's how you shovel it that defines your life.

You're the customer and the customer is always right. I'd contact them and just ask what's going on.

Looks like that pretty obviously got delayed due to the midwest snow storm. As it's going ground UPS wasn't running their trucks. That's why it sat in TX for 5 days. That's UPS's (or the weather's) fault- not the vendor.

Did you fail at reading? Dallas TX had issues with weather (clearly noted), UPS freight is not moved on days of poor conditions.

Yeah I feel you there but I think you may need to call. It seems a little long but they could be havin some unforseen problems. I would call though email is just not that fast everyone says I repspond to email fast but they answer a phone call faster atleast most the time they do.

The thing that sucks is like I said it is suppose to be a very reputable company. I know alot of people here have ordered from them with great success. They just didnt really have anything I needed that I couldnt get local until lately so I placed my order and have been waiting since. I dont think I will buy from them directly again.

I didnt see a number on their webpage and like I said I dont really need the parts right away but just think if a business says they are going to ship in 48 hours max, it shouldnt take 5 days to get shipped out. And if a person pays more than what they know shipping actually costs, they can at least ship it the way they said they were going to. NO WAY should a person have to wait 10+ business days for something that was "supposed" to be shipped priority mail and is just a couple states away.

I always hate running across threads like this, think to myself Ahhh man did we screw up?? Because unfortunately we do make mistakes more than I would like to to admit to. I am pretty sure we are not the company you are referring too. However, with this being said I would like to say in the best interest of whom ever it may be, they (we) are all human and make mistakes, and I do understand each and every singles ones (including your) frustration when it happens, but give them the chance to make the situation right, because how they handle the mistake, will be a true testament to their service. I can honestly say we have had situations where we had an order sit for 4 days when it should have shipped same day, for no good reason. It got printed for review and got lost in the shuffle. Stuff happens from time to time unfortunately, and I think I can speak for 99% of all the vendors here, we want all of our customers here happy, and the last thing we wanna see is a post like this. Hang in there it will all work out

^ Nope it wasnt you. You guys were one of the companies though that I had ordered products from after I did these guys and recieved them before. You guys have great service, and I will be a loyal customer because of that!

I did get a response back tonight and it said that "I should have received it by now and that it was the post offices fault." See this makes me even a little more pissy simply because it was ordered and paid for on the morning (like 3am) of the 6th and it wasnt even put into actual shipping until the 12th. With the way I purchased it, it should have BEEN here on the 10th-11th. It just kinda pisses me off that I paid for the faster shipping and when I go to view the tracking info it shows it was sent the slowest way usps has to offer. If the person who wrote me said "Oh Im sorry some stuff came up, or I misplaced the order, or sorry we've been swamped" I would have been completely cool and been more than willing to order directly from them again, but to put the blame on the post office for them being slow isnt cool in my book. I will still order their line of products because they are great products, I just wont buy from them directly anymore I guess.

You guys are too spoiled in the US with your 2-3 day shipping. Cripes, I order something and then forget about it for about 3 weeks as that's typical shipping time. I guess it's tough for the postman to see my address on the outside of my igloo

Spoiled? What a bunch of BS. If you pay for 2-3 days shipping, it should be there in 2-3 days barring unforeseen circumstances/events.

Whats the deal with some SA and/or angry Canadians on this board as of late? You dont live here, so why do you give a crap?

Some of my family is Canadian, including Grandpa - Edmonton, and an uncle and cousins - Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. They love and loved living here. Grandpa and one cousin are dead. I dont have a problem with your country, I find it to be a great place - I will pass on Quebec, but hell we got California, New York, New Jersey, and a few other states I can pass on here.
