Can am 800 renegade xxc. has a muzzy exhaust that makes it sound like a bb with a cam. It is a six hundred pound quad that can wheelie at the dunes. I can go out with my daughter who is 8 and we can ride, then go out with the guys and have a great time.

Where did you find that sweet machine for sale at? I really dig all the racing mowers, I am a tractor nut myself, I own three as of now, but not ones as cool as yours! How fast does the orange one run?

a member of our club (him and the mower are one of the original members of club) retired from racing because he has some back problems and it was too hard on him so he donated his mower and all his racing gear to the club. my cousin was just getting into racing and he was racing my blue ford (see above picture) when i was working.. at the time i worked out of town on shift for 3 weeks in 1 week out, then finally after the racing season ended dad and i were gonna build him a mower but he wasnt putting too much effort into it and if wasnt going to we were going to waste the effort either so i got to talking to dad and i decided to sell him mower and buy the orange one from the club. i tried to buy the mower from the owner about 3 yrs ago because it was up for sale but he kept it instead. didnt make any money on the deal sold blue one for 200.00 and bought orange one for 400.00 but whatever its not a money making sport... haha.. i had plans to sell the blue mower at the end of the year anyways so it worked out good, my cousin is still beating on his mower and has bought a 2nd one and is building that with my help, mostly just giving him ideasm showing him how to build brackets and shit stuff like that. when my cousin moved here he came from a city of like 80,000-90,000 people, no DL because he used his skateboard everywhere... so dad and i showed how to use the tools, angle grinders with cut off wheels, bandsaws, mig welding and he's doing pretty good.

these mowers are cheap to build but take a lot of time to build.. you can build a race ready mower for about 500.00 but its not worth it to pay someone to build you one because the labour involved would be like 2000.00. unfortunately you cant go the local small engine shop and buy a "kit" its all custom work. strip it down to bare frame first then build off of that. you gotta go by the rules and stuff but its pretty easy to stick to them.

between the 3 of us we have 6 mowers 2 each. cousin has two 11hp which are in the same class, i have two, one 12hp and one 16hp, dad has one 11hp and one 18hp.. all the 11hp/12hp mowers are in the same class, dad's and i's 16hp and 18hp are in a different class.. the 11/12hp will go about 40mph but we race at about 25-35mph.. the 16/18hp will go about 60mph which is plenty fast enough on a lawnmower!!! we wear full gear, helmets, motorcross style chest protectors, neck braces, gloves, work boots (i wear steel toes), pants, long sleeve shirt (unless its stupi hot outside) it hurts falling off of one of these things.. i've been fortunate enough to only roll once in my 5yrs of racing..

here's a running video of the 16hp vtwin. sounds pretty sweet!!!
