never around kids. but anyone else, fawk dat, i use it. took my inlaws quite some time to get used to it. lol, even said it to the pastor that married my wife and i when he asked why i dont attend church and what i have against it.

Yes, I know quite a few Brits.

Additionally, many years ago, a Brit friend of my mother gave her a British ad poster, it was a picture of "meatballs" and the text stated....."Faggots, great balls of goodness."

Obviously it has different meanings depending on which side of the "pond" you're on.

OK, back to the original post & follow-ups......yes, I "swear" too much. But, yes, I try to be mindful of:
Kids
People I don't really know
"Proper" people
How loud I'm using certain words (I have a voice that "carries rather well")

Yes, at times my wife asks about certain words/terms I use, like when I said, "That job was a cramp in the a$$", she asks, "Aren't you doing it wrong if you're doing that job with your a$$??!!"



Yes, it does sound funny at times.

That's funny.......there is a certain part of town here where a bunch of Queens use that word all of the time as well...
