Real race cars are always foot to the floor through the left. 18.

the GT cars in iRacing you still have to come off the throttle for just a second, to set the front and rotate.

never tried open wheel/proto/high aero cars though

The GT3 has always been my pick if I ever come into money. One of the last pure drivers cars, though it's been diluted in recent years too, sadly.

Roll cage in a production car?

Let's be honest. Lots of companies push the definition of the "production car" moniker when going for records, especially one as esteemed and sought after as that of Nürburgring.

Supposedly they put the "floating" cage in for safety and removed the rear seats and radio to compensate for the weight.

I've always had a soft spot for the VFR 800s. One of the best sounding bikes ever made in my opinion. That car is all kinds of cool. I'd want a floor mount shifter though, even if it's sequential.

Sarcastic. Never understood back wheels wider than front on FWD Honda's. Want your car to look like a RWD car then buy a RWD car.

Also saw this sweet rock crawler on the way to work today.

I was hoping that was sarcasm! "thumbsup"

That Jeep could be really nice if you'd get rid of the hideous wheels and mall tires and some of the other gaudy accessories.

See stuff like that just don't "fly" here, and i truly believe my country is a lesser country for that.

my guess its like pickup truck. no weight/traction in the rear. so bigger tires
plus that thing has the wheelbase of a motorcycle nearly lol:ror:
my guess it was a must to keep it from looping itself in aggressive driving.
fwds already have the tendency to lift the inside rear anyway on aggressive driving, certainly wouldnt help either.

That's in Australia? They need like a bunch of those. Maybe all of the spiders and shit will get sucked in, and then...

He need to put some kind of "filter" in front of the intake on that turbo, little kids are in danger of being lost as is.

So this saddens and kinda sickens me. An electric car is now officially the fastest car around the Nürburgring.

I think it's neat. Wanna beat it? Run a race four laps long.

electric cars have also started to set records at Pikes peak.
they obviously have insane instant torque from 0 rpm, and in pikes peak case, they dont suffer from power loss from the elevation change as they go up the mountain like combustion cars.

I love technological advancements. I just don't want batteries in cars. They belong in toys. I know the death of the ICE automobile is just a matter of time, but I'll be kicking and screaming the whole way. I think this time will come after my time though. One day kids won't know the sounds and smells of the ICE...sad.
