I hate Scammers

So I am trying to sell a one of my Fathers cars to help my brother out. My Father passed away less than a year ago. My ad even mentions my fathers passing and I still managed to get some scammer to try and pull one over on me. The person was asking for my pay pal Email so they could send me over my asking price and they would have a carrier come pick it up. I started to mess with him and told him to give me his pay pal E mail and i would send a invoice. I did not do this but thought lets see how far this piece of crap would go. Man what kind of times are we in where people will try and screw someone over selling their dead dads car!! I did a little recon on the phone 646 396 6550 and seems it is a phone from New York Phone carrier RNK inc. I have the E mail too brasswaters@gmail.com Was trying to think of a way to mess with him and my wife told me to leave it alone. So Anyways I just wanted to rant!

People are scum bags, society is going to shit... Honestly your wife is probably right, I would just report him to PayPal and leave it be. Hopefully karma will get him and he will slip and fall in a puddle of aids or acid or something

The money mafia will let out only so much money that society just keeps ticking at the same rate. They use tools like 'Reverse Repo rate' to remove excess money out from the system. That happens to me every time I put a vehicle on CL. I hate scammers. There is also other scammers out there that claim they have a buyer for your vehicle and all you need to do is pay for the leg work which comes out to over a $100. They are easy to spot but some people get taken.

I assume the payment would've maybe come from a stolen credit card? I'm trying to wrap my head around how this scam is supposed to work. I thought Paypal had policies in line to protect sellers from shit like this, such as accepting payment for goods and services. Please enlighten me brahs.

When I put my trike up on CL last year, I had a guy send me a text saying he'll send a guy with a check to pick up the trike and title. I called him back and only got a voice mail and told him that it was a cash only purchase and that if he wanted the trike, he would have to show up in person, with the cash or no deal, & that he was trying to scam me. I never heard from him again.

I've sold several vehicles via craigslist. The email you received is the standard robot email. I've got a ton. They all are about the same thing as you described. Damn A holes they are

Thats sucks man, sorry to hear about your dad. A few years ago I was unemployed and selling tons on CL. Any time I got those scammers who where going to have someone pick up the item and deloiver payment I'd give them the FBI address in washington DC. I always gave them tv names. Like Mike honcho (talladega nights) Mike Wazoswki (monsters inc) Tommy gavin (rescue me). I would then explain that Id be in washing to for the next few weeks and they could meet me at that address. Not sure what happened but I had fun LOL.
