It sounds like that because its a crappy video.

9mm is not a large caliber, nor is it designed to blow clean through a body. People don't go flying through the air, spraying blood and gore as they drift dramatically to the ground after being shot like that unless they're in a movie. It takes time for the brain to register the damage, and depending on the location of the wound, it may or not bleed much.



Back in high school, a classmate accidentally shot himself in the chest with a .22. He walked back into the house, called 911, then walked back out and sat on the curb to wait for the ambulance, punctured lung and all.

The 9mm shown here however will blow clean through a body if it were not to hit too many solid objects. It's target round nose ammo, it doesn't slow as quickly as a Hollow Point. However this also means it will cause less damage internally than a Hollow Point since it doesn't expand.

It was just a reference pic for those who watch too many ultra violent action movies.

My wife was shot with a .22 and it shattered her arm, in fact the bullet is still embedded in the bone. Lots of variables when it comes to ammo and caliber...
