Lol. Still trying to make this Dodge diesel sized turbo work on a VDub. I’ve ordered 3 sets of flanges trying to get back to my oil pan. Finally broke down and bought some 5/16x2” flat bar and started making my own today. Need to get a 3/4” NPT female pinched into a 28mm gap between mounting bolts. Gonna see my local welding shop Monday and get that finalized as well as fit a V band onto an elbow. Gonna be some fuggery to get back to the 3” exhaust. 3/4” female to fit these. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...99dc8d08ca.jpg This is a 2.5” stainless steel donut. Not mandrel bent but two halves stamped together and the seams welded. So it’s actually round and a tighter radius than could ever be bent. 2.5” pipe, ID in middle is 2.5”, so it’s 7.5” from one side to the other. I’ve never seen this before and thought it’s the bee’s knees or something. Got a hole drilled for the EGT bung to to get welded in. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2f13f9d0e9.jpg |

Re: Pics of your latest purchase Well, this just happened... Wasn’t really interested in this scale until I saw one of SBG’s latest videos where he talked about putting a static model body on it. Picked up a Ford static model kit of the same scale to see what I can do with it. Might have to print my own bed though, I prefer the ‘78 step-side bed vs the ‘80 bed. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...418ed943_c.jpgUntitled by Scott O, on Flickr Do we have a section of the forum for tiny builds? |

Re: Pics of your latest purchase https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...976e8af08d.jpg Technically, these were designed for connected ESCs & batteries. However, in addition to using them for ESCs and batteries, I don't see anything wrong with using them for connecting motors to ESCs (especially in boats). The connectors, themselves, are 6mm bullets...but, the "wonder" in these is that no solder is required for connecting them to ESC wires, or battery wires. If I were to take a guess, I'd assume they were derived from speaker wire banana plugs...or, to be more specific, the connecting portion between the wires & banana plugs. However, unlike attaching a speaker wire to a banana plug, which uses a single screw to hold the wire against/into the metal of the banana plugs, this setup uses two screws - one on each side. The 'S7' is for 8-10AWG, but they also offer a slightly larger (8mm bullets) 'S8' for use with 6AWG wires. ~ More peace, love, laughter, & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place |

Re: Pics of your latest purchase Technically, I can call it my "latest purchase", as it was paid for back in April. Additionally, it wasn't shipped directly to me...it was shipped to someone up in Oregon, who then fully customized it to my specifications. However, as he just shipped it to me a few days ago, and I received it today, I'll consider it as a "latest purchase". It's a hull & canopy for a ProBoat SonicWake...but, this certainly ain't your typical SonicWake hull, and the photos will tell.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5915c8123e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...69e2bd5c1d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...41e7c84e5f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c7524b102b.jpg ~ More peace, love, laughter, & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place |

Re: Pics of your latest purchase 1 Attachment(s) A little rumble for the trunk. It’s only a 10” but it’s plenty loud for me, really happy with it, especially for its small size. Sounds better than the ported 12” I had in my old car, which wouldn’t fit well in this trunk. Since this box is sealed it has a much tighter response even though it’s a square driver. |
Re: Pics of your latest purchase That's nice ^^^. I like the compact profile. In my 2dr JK I've got a round single 10" Kicker ( sealed box) and it's perfect. My days of bumping JL double 12's has long since passed. Even at hwy speeds and no top/ no doors my 10" Kicker is plenty. |
Re: Pics of your latest purchase I have a pair of the L5 10” in my Jetta in a sealed box I built. I’ve had them probably close to 12 years maybe. Don’t really remember actually but they hadn’t been on the market long when I got them. Solid setup and well worth the money. |

Re: Pics of your latest purchase 1 Attachment(s) Every once in a while I treat myself to a sixer of something along these lines... Hundreds of companies make the stuff, but hardly any Americans are aware of it. I got hooked on the flavor as a kid in Germany, where it is extremely popular. It's a really unique taste, you'll either love it or hate it - I'll drop the Wikipedia link that explains it and just how popular it is just about everywhere (except here)... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malta_(soft_drink) It's good for ya, too - high in B vitamins! |

Re: Pics of your latest purchase Ordered all new exhaust studs, exhaust nuts, 4x m10 bolts, 4 m10 NordLoc nuts, exhaust manifold gasket, 4x schedule 10 304 stainless 1.5” elbows, and a 304 stainless t3 flange. Old cast manifold is a PITA to deal with and I believe it is the cause of two studs pulling themselves out of the head. Made the decision to build a tubular log mani while helicoiling those two bolt holes. Found another bolt hole next over that possibly needs one, too. I took today’s wait time to install a 3bar MAP sensor and 4.5bar fuel pressure regulator. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...15383473da.jpg |
