Same here, spotted it when Dad and I went to Walmart before Christmas for him to do some shopping and I was looking to get more gifts for my Niece once we can get together for Christmas and had to have it, but didn’t pull that trigger until last night. I’ve got a Monster Beetle TR in a cart I can’t yet access at TamiyaUSA.com and planning on using the portals (or final drives, as Dad calls them) on my MF-01x, then maybe build it as a normal GF-01 and take a spare Lb body and cut it down to fit that with him as the driver:ror:"thumbsup"

I look fwd to seeing that! What a great idea. And hey... if/ when the rig crashes you can just blame it on the absolutely insane driver haha.

The 'latest' is "scale", but not "scale crawler"...more like "scaled down". My TLR 22 5.0 SR now has a "baby brother" (sister?), in the form of the Losi Mini-B.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...147deda08f.jpg
However, instead of getting the black or blue version, as most others did when they were released a few months ago, I purposely waited until the yellow version was released.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...884836600c.jpg
Now, time to upgrade, starting with the ESC, motor, and servo.

1/24 Excavator.
Why? It's 1/24 scale.
I have little doubt how long it will last but just playing around the house and with my other 1/24 scale cars and trucks.
May go back for more. ;)

Alright, alright. I won’t keep the secret anymore on what my new RC is. I know Phildirt has been anxious to see what it is, so I’ll go ahead and spill the beans. I honestly never thought I’d get a builders kit, but thanks to you guys I have become confident enough to get a kit and piece together my own electronics. This was a pretty “all out” cart to get, for me atleast, but I know it will have nothing but a good effect. I went with stuff that either I have used and know it’s good, or things that are very tried and true for crawling. The 2.2s are for the TRX4, so don’t even think about me stretching steelies lmao. I was looking pretty good at the SSD Trail King and actually had plans on getting it, but unfortunately found out it’s sold out on Amain and didn’t want to wait/go anywhere else. I will be doing a “build” thread on it when everything gets here, which is looking like January 8th.

Not what I expected LOL. When I looked at straight axle kits it was down to the 10ii, Enduro, and Trail King, the Enduro won hands down just because the tranny is awesome (OD options) and the kit shocks are supposedly the best thing since sliced bread. Plus there is the behind axle steering. Might have been able to skip the Traxxas shock upgrade with the Enduro kit.

Looks like you are at around $640-$650ish without body, are you planning on using one of the Enduro bodies?

I had my '17 for just over four years and 89,000 miles, and still loved it. Traded yesterday for a '21 limited but got this one fully loaded with everything. Has the 2.5 engine now which was needed IMHO, Harmon Kardon audio, and I freaking love the LED adaptive lighting, and the auto-dimming side mirrors. I loved my '17, I'm smitten with this one already.

Lol, honestly I didn’t expect it either. I plan on running one Enduro body and the forgotten Jeep on the 10 ii and keep the other enduro and Bronco on the TRX4. The GTS shocks were pretty pricey, but I wanted to keep everything on one order from one site. I was going back and forth between the 10ii and Trail King, and was somewhat looking at the Trailwalker, but seeing the Trail King was sold out on Amain, I went with the 10ii.

Nice score. Very similar to my plans had I bought one, pretty much paint the wheels black and hit the trail.

Thanks, the only reason I’m throwing the brushless in it is because it’s sitting on the bench and 170oz of torque isn’t nearly enough for a crawler IMO and I’ve got a 1210 on the bench also. May try the old simple green trick on the tires also

Just picked this up from a friend, 1st Gen Vanquish AX10 Dig unit with HS225mg servo and metal trans gears from a prior build of his. Thinking about putting the trans and axles from my SCX10 back into the AX10 Scorpion they came out of and sticking this in it as well.

Think those might be too big for the Losi’s, if they are, I’ll be putting them on the resurrected AX10, once I get that started.

Re: Pics of your latest purchase

It's that time...once every 4-6 years, I build myself a new computer, and sell the "old" one to help offset the cost. Over the years, I've gone back & forth between Intel & AMD, with the three most recent having been Intel...although, technically, I didn't build my current system - it's a Corsair One Pro (about the closest you can get to a "custom-built" in a pre-built system). For anyone wanting/needing a new gaming-level desktop, and not wanting (or having the time) to build their own, I HIGHLY recommend Corsair's 'One' & 'Vengeance' line of desktop computers.

Anyway...back to the upcoming build. Penny due to price (and my funds availability), and partly due to Central Computers being out of the Intel-based mono I intended to use, I've decided to go with an AMD-based build, with the Ryzen 5-5600X (which, interestingly enough, had been proven to outperform the Intel Core i7-10700KF I had been planning to buy, and a HUGE performance increase over the current Core i7-7700K) running on an Asus ROG STRIX X570-I, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600MHz RAM.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...58c4436413.jpg
The remaining components will follow soon enough. Wanting to stick with something similar to the ultra-small footprint of the Corsair One case (which is impossible to purchase on its own), I'll be going with the NZXT H1. Although it might seem quite expensive (at $350) to some, it does come with a full-modular 650W PSU, and an AIO liquid cooler (CPU) pre-installed. Unfortunately, due to a recall matter (from last October), which was only resolved a week ago, the 'corrected' versions are not yet for sale in computer shops (sales just went "live" again on NZXT's website). Although the exact graphics card has yet to be decided, it will be running Nvidia's RTX 3070 (a considerable performance increase over the current GTX 1080).

Of course, as with RCs, a custom-built computer wouldn't TRULY be "custom" without some mods...so, some 'interesting' ones are already in the plans. As the case has a tinted glass front panel, I'll be installing a 4"display inside the case, just in front of the power supply (which, btw, is at the top of the case, not the bottom, for better thermals), which will function as a second monitor. While capable of displaying almost anything (on an 800x480 display), it will primarily be used for displaying system data. The stock design uses an active-intake/passive-exhaust system. I'm be replacing the back panel with a 3D printed panel capable of holding two 140mm fans, thus changing the passive-exhaust to an active-exhaust. The AIO radiator fan will be replaced with a Corsair MagLev fan, and the rear panel will hold two of the same. The case, itself, well also have some customization done to it, once I've figured out how, exactly, I want to customize it.

Oh yeah...one last thing...while the current system has front-accessable USB 2.0 & HDMI ports (for attaching a VR headset...it was designed as a 'VR ready' system), the new system will have front-accessable USB 3.1 & USB-C ports (for which an Oculus Link cable can be attached, for connecting the Oculus Quest 2).

And there you have it...my yet-to-be-built new custom-built desktop. Game on...and video/photo editing, and all that other lower-level stuff..........

Nice setup. My wife does CAD and prefers a laptop so we have to get really good ones as far as graphics/memory and I've never built one but wouldn't mind taking a crack at it one day. We've been through every brand you can think of and believe it or not settled on a DELL (Alienware) this time around. She upgrades every 2 years or so.

When I shop for her I don't look at production/home/office crap, I go straight to gaming because they are generally bad ass.
