Reefs LP 299 Servo for Steering duty on both of my No Prep Buillds. Here I put one in my Chuckworks RC RedShift Drag build. Also adjusted the ESC and Cap Pack and was able to shift the Rx flat for better profiles and access. This servo is a little brute. About 2/3rds the height of a standard servo (TRX, Hitec, Futaba etc) and runs at 6v, 7.4v, and 8.4v. 299 in/oz torque at .06 seconds and 324 in/oz at .057 seconds. Smoking fast servos and still have Respectable Torque ratings. And seeing it can run at 8.4v, and is in a drag rig, it should last a lifetime and be very fast for those high speed corrections.

Also picked up a couple Drag Race Concepts wheely bar bushings in red for the RedShift, and 2 sets of Dueces Wild Heavy Weight Foams for the Pro-Line Hoosiers for both builds.

Still have to install those tomorrow. Other than Ti Bolts (maybe, still debating) and getting the body painted, shes pretty much a wrap.

OK, so I picked up the new up-sized RC4WD Mickey Thompson Baja Pro X tires and a couple other parts direct from their site - and check out what they stuck in the box - a "fandana" (stretchy neck gaiter) that has the Marlin, the 4Runner, and the C2X (which I bought for myself last year) repeated in the pattern!

Yesterday I picked up a 4-tec 2.0 for my birthday, always meant to get around to buying one - haven't had a touring car in many years. I had thought about maybe having an alternate gravel setup using the Boom Racing narrow steelies, Boom Racing Trophy Mud Terrain tires (93mm), and the Sumo body...

I got it home and set the Sumo body on it - unfortunately this proved that it won't work as the front bodyposts are jammed into the grill area, so that's out of the question. Looks like the Sumo will need to get a dedicated SWB chassis down the road.

Fun picture, though!

I little heat and a little bending on those posts and it’ll slip right down.

Thanks, I might try that - first I'll need to assemble those wheels and tires and see if they foul the chassis at full steering lock - I'll also need these Firebrand RC "Tallboy" slip-over bodypost extenders:

While, technically, I ordered everything (except the side racks & cases) a few weeks ago, and while everything arrived 1-2 weeks ago, due to some "problems", I had to delay installing everything. What is "everything"?

GIVI V47 top case, GIVI E135 LED Brake Light Kit for V47, LED Brake Light & Town Signal Kit for V35 side cases, GIVI SR2122 Top Case Rack, GIVI M7 Monkey Top Case Plate, GIVI E159 Top Case Luggage Rack for V47, and Thinkware M1 2-channel Motorsports Camera System (with front center-mounted just below the headlights, and rear center-mounted under the GIVI M7 Top Case Plate).https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3e3d15611a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f8283a99ee.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6d0b0721f9.jpgNOW, she's FINALLY ready for what she was designed for: long-distance sport touring.

Got an exhuast (downpipe back) system and some eibach pro kit springs installed on the civic last night. Ride height went down about an inch, still a comfortable ride. Wasn’t so sure in the blue tips of the exhaust but they’ve grown on me quite a bit and I like them now.

Thanks gents! I appreciate the kind words.

A little more info on it... I also have an intake kit in there, this one the filter is still up high like a short ram but it’s in an enclosed box (top is lexan!) with an induction snorkel on the bottom. This helps a lot with the vegas heat. Also running a tune on it that ups the boost by 3 pounds (or 6 pounds in sport mode) and it’s just a blast to drive. The tune made it feel like a different car. The tuner comes with a handy screen that lets me monitor various data points from the ecu.

Never been a fan of a Type-R, but this looks good!

Every time I see a car with the flame like tips, I don’t like them, but they work on the Type-R[emoji106]

Thank you, this one is just an SI though not a type R. My buddy has a type R, hoping to get together with him and another friend of mine that has an SI sometime soon for some pics.

Da da duuum. Honda vs VW.

I do like that SI though. All SIs (for that) matter. I remember when you bought it earlier this year. I was hoping it was a mid ‘90s egg one as the pic loaded.

Just picked up my home brew manifold from the machine shop. I cut and fit it with a 4.5” hand grinder. Sounds like it should be bad but it came out...decent. He welded it out and decked both flanges. Not the most (or at all) efficient but will do for a daily beater. Goal is 30psi to 7000rpm. It’s a load of fun if you like retarded amounts of torque steer, having to dodge every pothole and speed bump, a little bit of rain may as well be ice, and/or blowing doors off of, but not limited to, pony cars.

I literally just came inside from wire wheeling the BBs off of it from the welder. Gave it a quick test fit and called it quits. Got a HS football game to attend tonight. It’s game 2 of state playoffs. 11-0 thus far and lowest scoring was still in the 30s. Highest I saw this season was in the 50s. Lol. 99% sure they recruit.

I was using the cast one but it has 2 studs I can’t get the nut torqued down on. Plus the turbo rubs the firewall insulation a little bit. Mine is 3/8” shorter.

I bought a 2014 Patriot Latitude, new, in 2014, I love it. It's fast for a 4cyl, it has decent get up & go for passing, mine gets 28mpg, I call it my little sportscar. Handles great, full time 4wd, but has a lockout for 4lo.

Mine is a "Sport" model. I like it so far. It is a bit noisy at highway speeds. I was stunned to see it had crank windows, manual door locks and manual mirrors. I'm 49, so those things aren't a big deal to me. However, on the test drive, when we got back to the dealership, I told my wife and my step daughter to make sure they locked their doors, as it didn't have central locking/keyless entry. My 14 year old was looking quizzically at the door and then asked "How do you lock it?" :lmao:
