i know my forum interactions have gone WAY down since the delete of it.
and so have others interactions to my posts. now we all just keep scrolling with no interactions.
but if it aint coming back it dont matter.
well just all keep scrolling. which some how keeps the ads happy.

You've made exactly 1 post outside of chit chat in the last month. Perhaps people are moving out of chit chat and posting in other sections or perhaps the subjects you post in are growing long in the tooth? The weather is getting nicer everywhere right now so maybe it's because people are going outside?

You've been around a long time Corey, You were even a vendor here, which I know from Facebook and IG you still are... As of now your not supporting the site anymore, whatever the reason is, not my biz, but the like button was hurting the site financially. With the decrease in vendor renewals, and green and gold stars as well, the ads help significantly. As I explained in the other thread, when people clicked the like button, rather posting, the ads arent refreshing.

Is it as simple as making it so they do refresh after clicking the like button? Just make the whole page reload after the click or something. It just seems like if its that simple we could have our likes and ad revenue.

I'm over it but still curious.

As far as the ads go, I've never seen them. I've ran some type of adblock program for years both at home and at work. If adblock extensions/utilities stop working, I'll just block it at my router.

Thats a good point, I also have ad blocker turned on but forgot. You can often white list sites so you will get ads there if you want to help support them.

Now I've turned off ad blocker for this site. Heres a walkthrough if you use Chrome's adblock https://www.howtogeek.com/342986/how...-or-all-sites/

though I had to take one extra step and click on the adblock icon and select "dont run on pages on this site"

I wonder if vendors leave here because they have to pay for a blue star when they can advertise on FB and Instagram for free.

I won't renew a star here again. The site doesn't suddenly become better when the owners are profiting... They should have done the legwork to bring people back or to retain which they have not done and I have yet to see in the works.....

Don't confuse keeping the lights on with making a living off of this place. Even in its hayday the owners still had day jobs.
