Its not coming back... As per Badger, the site owner, the like button HURTS the site due to how the ads work which generate revenue for the site which assist in keeping this place going.


I'm sorry that a lot of you were upset about losing the feature but the site survived without it in the beginning and it will now as well.

I think it's cool that the head honchos are making a decision, and sticking with it, but still allowing the topic to be discussed.



On some forums, mods are quick to lock threads, and silence discussions.


I really don't have strong feelings about like buttons, but a few here do. So, if threads like this help them blow off steam, I think that's fine.

This is chit chat... Jason and Badger have always let is run pretty damn loosely and I see no issue with that....


We are all here for a common interest, and we are all entitled to an opinion...



However, at the end of the day, the owners (and sometimes the administration like myself) make the final call.


We all know my opinion on the like button, I hated it... However, it wasn't me that shit canned it. Forums are hurting because of Facebook, and I think the last the thing we all want is this place to vanish, so if turning the like button off and allowing ads to generate revenue by refreshing when you POST and that helps keep this place going then that is what I am for.


Forums are designed for interaction, posting creates interaction, even if its just "Hey man nice truck". If those posts upset you then sorry, but its better then the worst case scenario

I missed it at first, but now it doesn't really bother me one way or the other. I'm over it and moved on. There does seem to be more posting going on at least it seems to me.

Correct, I know the “nice truck” posts if done excessively can be annoying but sometimes they serve a beneficial purpose by keeping a good thread going and steering people to it in which will cause further interaction and will probably keep the OP going in updating it.

We’re in different times, it’s never gonna be the old RCC but I want nothing more then RCC to continue on and hopefully move foward and possibly be a larger face of the community again. We have a wealth of knowledge and if we can bring back vendors, good builders, etc this place has the potential to thrive again.
