Anybody ever try the brake fluid besides me....No chit it eats paint....thats why it works. Like I said be carefull not to use to much, you will be amazed how easy it is to do,and as long as your paint isnt already showing primer you should be fine.... |

I 2nd the 3M polishes.I've used their mico polish on a few cars with faded paint with great results.Try to find a polisher/grinder that has a variable speed. And be VERY careful around the edges and ridges.REAL easy to burn thru those.

if you used rubbing compound youll need to go back over it with polishing compound or a decent wax to buff the shiny back in it. rubbing comoound is usually way too course for cars you basically scuffed the surface, will actually REMOVE the shine from a modern two stage paint car. on my old 86 camaro with single stage, i used "nu finish" with very nice results. you can get it at pretty much any autoparts store, probly walmart too. its cheap. So far rubbing compound with a wet rag by hand is yeilding the best results. I may have to do the whole car 2 or 3 times but I think it will be red again!
