| SoCal is burning....Again!
Wow, it seems like just yesterday that I had to drive through what literally looked like a war zone, with hundreds of homes burning on either side of me to help my brother in law in Devore. Looks like I may have to do it again. :-( Thoughts and prayers out to all everyone affected. STAY SAFE!!!!! |

Hopefully the wind will die down soon. Here in Saugus, half the city's shut down due to closed roads, downed powerlines, and horrible air quality. My mom and sister were evacuated from our horse ranch, and had to leave the horses. They got an escort today on the closed road to assess the damage. Fortunately, the flames stopped right at the property line, the neighbors weren't so lucky. Here's some pics they got today: |

Man if it isn't those earthquakes you guys have been getting hit hard by the fires... Time for Governator to come up with a way to make fake rain from water from the oceans... |

it's nuts. the combination of practically zero rainfall last year with the santa ana winds, has made it H3LL just like rockpiledriver said. we had fires in burbank and griffith park last year.

those pics bring back memories of some fires back around 1990ish when i lived there..... scary watching them creep over the mountains/hills devouring as they go. And the fake snow (ash) sucks. Stay safe, and best wishes.

That suck major azz! I do hope NOONE on here, suffers any losses! Now would be a good time to pack up & move away. I've been telling my Sister & her family to leave there, ever since they moved out there. I don't even talk to her any more because; I got tired of listening to her complain about fires, earthquakes, crime rate, low rated schools, cost of living, lack of rain, state being overrun BY illegals, etc, etc... Can anyone remind me of the appeal, California has again? Cause I don't see any reason to have to stay out there... |

wow!! Mother nature needs to send the rain we are getting today down your way. I think those photos top anything the news reports shows us up here. Mostly everything they show is from the air, nothing from ground level right in the thick of it. Here is our local news station and a report they did. http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_16013.aspx Hopefully the weather changes.... which for now it looks like it isnt. Take care and hopefully they can get it under somewhat control. |

| Beaches, snow covered mountains, insane 1:1 trails, and a large number of off-road (desert) recreation areas... All within 1 hour of each other. I have surfed, skated a park, and snowboarded all in one day. Is there anywhere else in the country you can do that? |
