i dont vent my wheels. never had an issue.. the tires are too small and the weight of the truck would prevent any ballooning in water. now if you had something like jumbo kongs on a really light weight truck sealed up they might float. seen e-maxxs floating on water before | |

Water proofing can be quick though Dave, all I ever do is throw each piece of electronics in a balloon zip tie, squeeze silicone around the wires then add another zip tie it hasn't failed me yet plus its easy. I even started to run short servo extensions off of the receiver so there is no reason to ever take it out of the balloon, even if I have to change something out. For the servo I open it up put a bunch of marine grease around the gears and silicone the bottom of the servo, again never had a problem with water when I do that. Yeah Yeah, we were going to do Buffalo Creek for this one, but since Patrick can't make it. I didn't want to break his heart by not giving him the chance to run there. Quote:

Thanks to all those who showed up to watch and to run. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new faces. I had an absolute blast hanging with you all again. Congrats to you again Rodney on the win. It's my pleasure to finish second to you any day. Man, what a nail-biter though. It was great to see such close competition.Congrats to flapjack too for 3rd. Way to stay consistent with the little 'yota that keeps on truckin'. I was really happy with how Pepe worked today, I wish I knew why it is my destiny to have a pinion come loose at every event though..... Thanks to Holmes Hobbies and the 10T puller that works so dang well. A big thanks to Team RCCrawler, TCS Crawlers, Montana Scale Designs, Vanquish Products, and Reign RC for the best parts and support you could ask for. |
