Has anyone thought of talking to the track owners of the off road park near Morrison off of C-470?

I say build a multi purpose rig that can be formula/TTC/rockracer (just need to change tires/gearing/shock oil)
Then you have the best of both worlds!

The moto cross track?

They hold National events there, they don't even allow practice days there with out spending some dough.

I wonder if they might let us do something like this

They are in the works right now for an R/C track this spring!

Check out this thread on RcTech http://www.rctech.net/forum/colorado...-rc-track.html

If you want more ifo about this go to Denver-rc, log in and look at this thread http://denver-rc.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=155 . It has about 17 pages of some good info and some funny flaming

I was just telling Sparky when we drove by Thunder Valley yesterday.

Body, tires, servo, motor, esc, and shocks have just been ordered. Axles are sitting here, I think I have a tranny somewhere.

I had all the parts to build one of these sitting aside years ago at the RCC hq, just never got around to doing it.

Lol!

I just dropped the VXL into mine, and took it for a little test run. It's better, but still lacks a little wheel speed IMO. Hmm....

I found the first kick @$$ spot to run these rigs. Smonkey told me about a place he used to BMX when he was a kid. This spot is super sick and very secluded from people.
It has everything you could ask for.. It lyes just east of Sheridan before 112th. You can see the place as you drive north. Also unreal for Slashes. It's a little bit of a walk so pack right.

Better get your junk together boys because this thing is about to kick offfff Skid and I got some sick Video and pics from today.
