Colorado Rally Championship 2014

This series is sneaking up on us fast! Hope everyone is ready! If anyone is interested I would be more then happy to meet down at the track this saturday morning. Talk rally, tune rigs and practice, practice, practice!

For those without Facebook:
The first race of the Colorado Rally Championship will be at the HOON470 track. Track will open at 9am for practice. With registration at 9:30am and a prompt race start of 10am. We will be running all 4 classes all season long.


Last season we were generally done by 2pm, but it could be earlier or later based on how many come out.

After a few requistes we are going to add one more class.

Mini Group R (14-18th scale car class)

This class is for the Vaterra Kemora, Traxxas 16th scale rally and anything else that falls into these wheelbase and width restrictions.
- Electric only!
- 4wd and 2wd are allowed.
- Maximum belly clearance of 1 inch.
- Only tires allowed are Tamiya rally blocks or stock vehicle tires.
- Must use 1.9 wheels or smaller.
- Car bodies only!
- Tires must be 100% inside the body.
- Electronics and batteries are open to any that will fit the car.
- No rig sharing.

Prizes, Awards and raffles:

Yep, this season we will be having all of that.

We have bodies, tires wheels, shirts, RTR cars and a whole lot more!

This season we will be having a raffle on the last scheduled day of the season.

For each event you attend you will get a raffle ticket at the end of the season we will draw a name for someone to receive a Rally Legends car. We will also have other prizes for the raffle.

During the season we will be giving away Spy Helm sunglasses. The winner of Group B and S2000 will each get a pair of glasses at every race of the season. In the event the winner already received sunglasses the prize will go to the next best finisher. We will also have official CRC koozies and radio straps to giveaway at ever event this season.

There are several other prizes that will be at events, but you guys need some surprises.

Awards/trophies
Again this year we will have trophies for the top 3 in each class at the end of the season.
Having said that. The class will need to have a minimum of ten participants before the 4th race of the season to have the "fancy" trophies.

Thanks for the photos Kirt and thanks everyone for coming out. Had a great day with great people out on a nice and sandy track today. I can't wait for the next race and hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Photos, scores and videos still to come!

Do you guys have open track time, as I would like to visit with my Torment in the time before I get a race legal car! Could I use one of the loaners at the next race? Sorry about all the questions, I'm new to racing!

Someone else should correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that in order to have a class/group R we'd need a minimum of 5 drivers. I count maybe 3?

I don't have any loaners...

Darn, if few enough people are in group one, I think I'll use a 10th scale Tamyia(spelling).
