Sounds about right... Might have been the time when he said that last night was NOT the best night of his life. I swear he said it was when things were "happening".

Warpig found a place here in Portland that makes them, he can probably send ya in the right direction They aren't cheap though, and are just like the fullsize version.

From watching all the trucks run the event, I'll say that the 3Racing winches kind of sucked. No speed and no power. Either the 1/10 or 1/8 versions. The servo based units seemed to have more power but still lacked any sort of speed. Those that winched would burn up 2-3 minutes just trying to winch 8-10 inches forward. Not fast enough. Although a couple people never even had to use their winches.......

If someone enters the TTC event at the 2010 MSD Scale Nats.... you better build a real winch that has speed and power. Time matters. Dual winches(front/rear) operated via your radio. I think winching will be an almost mandatory deal at the MSD Scale Nats 2010. Our courses were almost too easy IMO. My CC-01 handled the last course, tank trap, with relative ease.

I think if someone could build a winch similar to the Gigglepin4x4 winches then you'll be good to go... Dual motors rules.

It should Ben. If Tim is behind course design, I'm pretty sure he'll make you give that thing a work out. Watching some of the trucks walk through parts of the courses... I think it'll be super fun at 2010 Nats.

Obstacle Course...http://www.flickr.com/photos/3096525...7622641177291/

This was a tough one for me to shoot--it was pretty dark and I didn't want to move around too much for fear of being in the way of the driver. Not a lot of great ones here...sorry.
