I was just thinking. The spare would probably be measured mounted on the rig, right. So if you stuff it with, i don't know, narrow and tall stiff foam, you get the desired diameter. Or is this against the rules?

| I think that if a tire is close and you stuff it to make it a little bigger, that it would be OK. The 1/4" rule is there to keep people from running tiny, unscale tires.

Ok, to throw my hat in the ring so to speak: Full length hardbody -7 3D Interior -3 Functional winch -3 Led's ,must have 2 headlights and 2 taillights, and must be on during comp, (-2) Bumpers (Must be attached to frame) -5 for both metal only. Must look like 1:1 bumpers. FULL features - Full 6-point roll cage. Must be made of metal. (-4) Chassis mounted steering servo .(-5) So sitting at -29 for trail class. Can throw in an accessory for that last point I suppose ! Will get some additional pics (body off, bottom, etc.) by this weekend. Last edited by ecoli; 04-13-2010 at 08:31 AM. |

It's amazing to me how many tire manufactures (Pro-Line, RC4WD, Losi, etc..) can't seem to get their tire dimensions right. It's sad really. |

| I agree, I wasted a lot of money on 1.9 Rockstompers and 1.9 Flatirons thinking they were 4.25" tall and they ended up being too small.

My rear bumper is integrated into the cage like a desert truck. This is still considered a rear bumper right? Do I get points for a front bumper? As you can see the winch mount/bumper protrudes past the end of the frame and where the grill would be. Just like what I would consider a bumper. |

also depends on wheel size, ive got two sets of flat irons, one set is on some rc4wd wheels and another set on the stock axial wheels. all 1.9 size, and the rc4wd the tires are a smaller dia. than being on the axial wheels.

As far as your Unimog goes, since you're already getting points for the tube chassis, then you can't get points for a tube bed.

Do you think that you should get them with yours but I shouldn't ? Just wondering. As far as your front, it's kind of a bumper. What does everyone else think about these bumpers? Should Chris get -5 for both of them?
