Scale class? This will be my first comp, I'll prolly just come for the food. I want to go, but will anyone be pulling through Fremont on their way up there? I can get to the Hobbytown in Fremont pretty easy. Let me know guys, I can't wait.

Is anyone going to be bringing a power inverter for their (sp?) charger? If so, do you mind if I use it also for my charger?? It would be greatly appreciated.

hey everyone, It doesn't look like i'm going to make it to this first event, Thursday i was riding my lil Honda 50 in our back yard took a little tumble got some X-rays today of my right ankle, nothings broken and i got a large gash that i had fixed up to. I have another appointment tomarrow morning, every once and a while I'll loose feeling in my ankle so there going to check up on that some more, I'm sure its something to do with the gash but its probably nothing major but its a little weird. I hope everyone has a great time and i look forward to seeing some pics. thanks big red |

Hope your leg feels better soon red. A doctors appointment on a Saturday? You need to make up a better lie than that of why you can't make it next time As for me, I am running true Slinky fashion and building a rig the night before the event. Actually I have been putting a bit of time into it and thanks to the help of Chino, I should (crossing fingers) have a rig running in the event in only a few hours. Here is where I am at now. I just put got the driveshafts on and the electronics somewhat mounted. I put power down and it runs. Now to tighten and locate everything. Next I need to get a body on and the wheels mounted and.... damn... I need to get back to working on the rig. Electronics inside. The body in the painters booth. Ok, back to work for me. See you guys in the morning. -Sam |

well, the first comp of the '06 season has come and gone. what an incredible day! the turn out was great and the terrain was incredible. definitely worth the drive. if this many show up at the rest of the comps, i think it will be an extremely exciting season. cant wait to see everyone at the next comp. time to get back out to the garage and do some more tuning on the rig to keep up with badgers scaler and sams slinky......er... uh.. or what ever it is! he has gone from duct tape and paper clips to hand fabricating chassis' (and i mean hand fabricating! i dont recall him using any tools except pliars for bending and a nail to make holes in it!). i cant believe it... first place my ***! |

By far the biggest and most successful event we have ever held. I had a great time. Great job to everyone for making it a great start to the beginning of our season. With 13 runners in the 2.2 class and 9 in the Super class, we are off to a great start. The courses were full of traction and gave us some great lines to be challenged on. Here are the results. You will have to forgive me for posting so late. I passed out when I got home, though I do recall at one point talking to Chino. You did call right? I don't remember much from it other than something taking 2 years or something like that. Anyway here you go Nor-Cal: (note season points are not listed yet) Super Modified Class
Limited 2.2 Class
We also combine all the classes to see how the classes did against each other in points since we run roughly the same course for each class. Here are the results without season points noted. The classes are differentiated with text color and are marked accordingly. Overall Combined
Thanks for the compliments by the way. I figured it just wouldn't be a wheeling event without me finishing at 4:00 AM in the morning just before the start event. Time for me to head back to bed. I only woke just now to make this posting and have some breakfast. -Sam Last edited by SlinkySam; 02-26-2006 at 01:17 PM. |
