Had a great time. Seeing all the different designs and ideas on how to build the rigs is awesome. Kickback your crawler made it but you almost didn't! Sliding down the hill and watching your remote puke it's batteries all over the hill was amusing can't wait for next month's! |

Here you go Randy. I quickly put down what I had and color coded it accordingly. The max points for a course is 40 points. A driver will receive this if they A) go over the point limit while on course or B) go over the time limit allowed. A 50 point score will be given if you don't start a course at all. Luckily the courses were kind enough to allow everyone through all 3. Thank you O' course gods \ Here are the final scores with highlighted scores. The Combined Divisions is where we see how you performed against the other divisions running. Although this doesn't hurt your division points, I put down a season total for the Combined Division as well. Last year I believe was won by Badger with his NN Clod. -Sam |

Sorry guys for not making it out. I was also up late Friday night trying to get my junk together. I ran into a bunch of problems with the knuckles and axles from one of the vendors on the board. One knuckle wasn't taped, and the bearings would not fit in the other. Oh well I'll be ready for #2.

Great turnout! Indian Rock is a cool spot! This was the first comp I been too, next time I'll wake up in time to get there early. Sicj, was the only guy I new, just because of Sheldon's. The short time I was there , I met a few cool guys. Great bunch of guys, a relaxed atmosphere, everyone looked like they were having fun. Can't wait 'till the next comp, hopefully I can work out the bugs on my Scale Truggy or get a 2.2 comp rig ready for the next event. I'm already putting my electric sedan for sale to buy a new crawler and parts! |

I just added a few shots from the event. The rest can be seen at the Nor-Cal website (http://www.Nor-Calrcrc.com) Most of the gang. Others came later. Jason doing a Stoppie just before the last gate of the event and a first place win in Super Modified. This diagonal climb proved to be more of a challenge than first anticipated. Doesn't look like much, but it ate a bunch of us. Dean's Bronco worked quite well on the climbs even with a short (compared to most others) 11.5" wheelbase. I think it was the flames that helped me with the win in the 2.2 class. It's like chrome rims, they make you perform better Rob dropping in on one of the many challenges with his Clod axled 2.2 crawler. This one was the last drop in on course #3. This obstacle was like a mouth. It just ate crawlers for lunch that day. It didn't care if you were 2.2 or Super Mod. It ate you. Many avoided this pit by taking a cone to go around it. -Sam Last edited by SlinkySam; 02-27-2006 at 11:56 PM. |

Thanks. Dean wound up taking half of them also since I wound up either judging or just forgetting to take photos. I wish I took more of the first two courses because those were the best. -Sam

Dean made it with ease with his green Bronco. Short wheelbase and good belly clearance got him up in one shot. Made the obstacle look silly almost. -Sam
