Nice spot.

I stopped here and ran a few packs in my Berg on my way through back from NC last year. It was during the summer so the scenery was veeery nice.

During the winter we have it a little easier being that the Zoo is slower and we aren't taking up their "valuable" parking spaces. During the summer we probably won't be able to hold competitions here for this reason so definitely think twice before we leave any trash or cause any disturbances.

I will also say that we do look pretty good compared to most of the other visitors to the rocks. This is a public location and is managed by the SC Department of Natural Resources. WE WILL ABIDE BY ALL OF THEIR RULES! I think it goes without saying, but just in case theres any question...alcohol should not be a part of this event.

We're really looking forward to this event!
Since this is a public access spot that and i would rather be part of the solution than the problem i feel something needs to be addressed before Saturday;
if you smoke, thats fine. But bring something to put your butts in. Throwing them in the water, on the rocks or in the brush is not an option. Holding everyone accountable and treating this spot right as we get larger is going to keep this spot open to us. Bring a ziploc or a empty soda bottle to stash them in, even better bring a trash bag and leave the spot better than we found it! There is a trashcan in the parking lot you wont have to carry it far. Be smarter and play harder!

Thanks Nate...I did mean to say something on the way out Sunday but got distracted. This is a very good point though and something very important to our hobby so PLEASE help out and do your part.

A few details were left open ended until we got closer to the date of the comp so that we could all talk and figure out what was going to work the best. After some consideration and talking tonight I believe it is the consensus that we run 3 courses of 7 gates with 5 minutes rather than 4. Since this is our first run through this process as a club it should help to avoid burning up too much time.

We have also talked a bit about course setup and who will do what. We will be showing from 8-8:30 and will begin setting up courses. IF anyone from the NC, ATL, or even ETRC shows up by 9 they will have the option to set up a course. Course setup should be over with by 9:30.

Tech will be ongoing beginning as soon as the first people start to show up. Drivers should have their vehicles teched as they show up rather than waiting until after the driver's meeting. The driver's meeting will be at 10 and the courses will open immediately.

Thanks for the input guys! The first post will be updated in a moment...

X2 I always tend to flick off the cherry and stick em in my pocket/pitbox. Glad you mentioned that.

Itty go ahead and stick that 2.2 next to my name please sir--The Bergs lookin like it'll be able to at least attempt the first course. The scaler on the other hand probably wont be making it due to a recent ......um...... fender bender.

NICE...thats 20!

I thought I'd add that it's suppose to be 61 and sunny on Saturday so heavy coats won't be necessary...I typically wouldn't say much about the weather this far out, but seeing as they have it being clear for two days on either side I'm fairly confident with this prediction!
