Default Define hi power

I have a 7turn cobalt, my new sidewinder has specific directions on how to wire a high power brushed motor. Do I follow the normal directions or the high power?

a sidewinder can not run a 7t cobalt. It has a 19 turn limit on it. But you might be able to i would check with the guys that make the motor

^ He doesn't know what he's talking about. If you run it in a normal configuration it will be just fine. Did you also get a castle link? After buying one, I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

Yep, listen to these guys and not Shaggy.

A 7 turn Cobalt is not actually 7 turns. They have more poles so the numbers aren't the same. A Sidewinder will run it just fine. And definately get a Castle Link for the Sidewinder. Default on them is brushless so you will need to change it. Plus if you get a Castle BEC, which you will need if you are gonna run a decent servo off the Sidewinder, you will need a Castle Link to change the settings on that also.

It means 7-turns, but the Cobalt Pullers have a different armature construction than standard 540 motors, so it doesn't affect ESC's the same as low-turn 540's.

Enjoy the following reading material about the 7T:
