I was able to take the 3 bad ones, mix and match parts and housings to come out of it with only one that there is no way it would work. I would recomend if your running these to pull off the gear cover. There is a pin that locates the center row of gears. If you look at the top housing there is a hole to locate the pin and keep the gears from shifting. A couple of my housings were a slot rather than a hole. One actually allowed the gears to strip, the other the gear would just shift over far enogh to not be engaged. Hope this helps any of you.

Good luck
Bernie
Thanks for the heads up, I'll check mine out!

Over two months no servos yet. The seller from Hong kong has my money and that will never happen again. Beware of this seller on ebay.

I ordered 6 and I got them in just about a week (from Hong Kong). Although I some what got ripped on shipping. All together it was a good deal, but for some reason I couldent get the correct shipping through ebay. So I just sent the full amount, and ask him to refund me the correct balance or send an extra servo and call it good. His BIN price of the servo was way less than the extra shipping.

I finally received the 3 that I ordered. I'm using 2 on my Clod and so far so good.:? I'm putting the other in my 2.2 so I'm hoping they hold up for a while.

My friend and I have bought a pair of these servos off eBay, and they were DAMN cheap!! I've got one going into my Bender TLT-1, and my friend is putting one in his Bender TLT-1.

If they work, then great!!! IF they **** after a few days or hours, then oh well what do you expect for the money...I'll just get the HS-645MG I had planned to get all along

thats why you never pay before and ask for the refund just ask for an invoice and pay less in the first place

They way he set up the auction was immediate payment required. I talked to them before hand and they admitted the shipping was messed up and said that I only needed to pay x amount, so I assumed they would make it right after. I e-mailed a couple of timed but, never heard from them after the sell. Oh well

Well one of my MG995 died.
Took about 6 months of hard abuse.

Gears were still in great shape, Motor or circut just died.

For the price of about 15 each I'm gonna get 2 more.

W/ the shipping it works out to be about $17.00 a piece.

That's about the average price.

After using these servos, I'm not going to use anything else for a standard servo, but you would have to pry my 1/4 scales away from my cold dead hands.

But I am glad to see such affordable electronics, you can power a whole rig on a $35 moped, a $20 tq3, and still have front and rear steer for $35 more. Thats Great!!

Well If it works and is cheap, I'm all for it.

I'm not using my MOPED anymore, sold it.

I went Spektrum so my TQ3s are sold.

But I still use the Tower Pro MG955!

I've used the towerpro servos for a couple of months now, and havent had much trouble.
I bought some off ebay from hongkong for a cheap price but they didnt last as long. The circuit boards fried in both of them, and i am not sure why... everything seems to turn ok, but just no power.
I think i just got a bad batch cos the first ones were fine.

other than that... the casings are more fragile than other brands... weaker plastic or something, but if supported ok then they are fine... just dont trust the screwdown points 100% and they hold up great

With reasonable shipping time and great service. I am very pleased with mine and the price is right.
