| Your description is correct. For all intents and purposes, the black and brown are the same. 1. You want to have direct voltage to your steering servo from your BEC. So, you wire the ground and power leads to your servo. But, the BEC orange is taped off. 2. You want your dig servo to run off of the supplied power from your ESC. So, you plug it directly into your receiver. 3. Your steering servo control signal wire (yellow) goes to your steering control of the receiver, accompanied by nothing. Based on your description, you did it right. The only thing I can think is that you have bad circuitry in your BEC, or maybe you have your yellow wire from your servo plugged into the wrong pin on the receiver, or maybe just have a short on your battery internally. Im really not sure. Electonic bugs are a bitch to find unless you really know how to trouble shoot electonics. I would do this: 1. take out your battery. If you have a DMM (digital multi-meter) measure the resistance between power and ground. This should be infinite. If not, you have an internal short. 2. With the battery removed, measure the resistance between power and ground with your circuit on the car. 3. Keep removing pieces to the puzzle until you find your bad part. Casey |

Thanks KC I am sure this battery is fried. I hope the FXR and 7950 are ok I don't have any way to test everything right now. I guess its off to home depot in the morning. I tried to plug in an old NiCd pack to see if it was just the battery, and since it is 7.2 and i have the bec programed for 7.4 that didn't work. I have sent an email to HH about the battery. I am sure he will take care of me. I just ordered it along with the speed controller last week. Thanks Again |

Well, for less than $30, you can get a DMM. I would suggest having one for various reasons. But, I would get this first...do some simple tests to try to figure it out...and then worry about how to fix it. Casey | |

| I talked to John Holmes and everything was wired up right. I sent the battery and FXR to him. He should have it tomorrow. I didn't want to get a new battery and find out that there was a problem with speed controller. He is going to check everything out and most likely replace the battery. HH's service is awesome, so I am not too worried now. I think when I get it all back I may wire it up the Castle way though. I need to get my hands on a crimper and some hitec connectors. I was wanting to get a crimper anyways to shorten up some of the wiring and clean things up a bit.

Hey Cliffhager Did you get your FXR all wired up? Howd it go? I am trying to be patient while waiting to get everything back from service. HH checked it all out and FXR had a short. He is sending it to Tekin for replacement. Not sure yet about my battery. I was hoping to comp Saturday, not looking like that is going to happen. |

does your servo twitch while in hte air or on the ground or both,,its probably just the servo trying to constantly find center,,thats normal. digital servo with an analog pot will twitch.
