| Swapped out ESCs
I just swapped out a Mamba Max for a HH BR-XL on a HH 30T motor. The motor is not chiming. I hooked up a silver can and it works just fine. Hooked up the Mamba Max back up...no chime. WTH.....nothing else has changed. I see lights on both ESCs and it's responding to my throttle inputs (lights changing on ESC). Any ideas?

I would guess you may have to calibrate the New HH BRXL to your reciever. Then try it and see what happens.

| Re: Swapped out ESCs I have calibrated the ESC to the Tx. ESC not at fault b/c it works fine with another motor. Something to do with the motor. All solder connections are good.

I'm having the same issue. I hooked it all up. ran for a few minutes until I snapped may stock drive shaft. Got some MIPs and now I get what OP describes. tried to re-calibrate and still nothing. Hooked up the castle link, reset to default, still nothing. Any more info would be helpful to me as well.

Does the motor turn if you put power directly to it?

I just hooked up a battery (AA) to the motor and I have nothing. Motor isn't locked up...still spins freely. Update: It working just fine now. Forgot that I did mess with one of the brushes...might not have been fully seated. |

Wow, busy night.... -If a motor does not work in a rig, BUT does work with a direct connect to a battery, the issue is the ESC. -If a motor does not work in a rig, AND it does not work with a direct connect to a battery, the issue is the motor. ESC can be ESC to RX calibration, ESC settings (like the ESC LVC), bad ESC, bad battery Motor can be a dead motor, or a loose brush connection, hung brush (provided the motor spins freely by hand). |

Problems solved. Dead bands were set way low. Working like a champion.
