Default Hobby king 60amp esc

I just got this 60 amp esc from hobby king ,I done the set up as per the instructions put it on a new brushless motor, it worked for about four laps around the living room then quit. The lights on the esc change with forward and revese. The other thing that is not working is the beeps when it's first powered up or during set up. Is it junk? It doesn't look or smell burnt.
Any ideas?

The last time I had an experience like that. I had an esc that was programmed for lipo cutoff and I was using a nicad, so it shut down after a very short run.

with a 6.5t brushless motor, never had any trouble with it...

I forgot to mention that I also have the programming card and when I plug it in to the esc it doesn't turn the card on either. The wire is not broke.

Did you plug into the card first and then plug battery in...

Can you test the ESC with another motor...

I'm sure the beeping sound comes from the motor ,not the ESC..

I can try another motor, does it have to be sensorless or can it be sensored? (kinda new to this)

It says in your link...

Compatible with sensorless brushless motor.

So I don't know if it will or wont work...

You can allways try it and find out...

I got this one from hobby king HobbyKing R/C Hobby Store : Turnigy TrackStar 120A 1/10th Scale Sensored Brushless Car ESC

It worked great up and down the street with tons of power on a 3 cell but after taking the slash to the track and running a few packs through it it started cutting out. The motor I was running was a turnigy 13.5 sensored and couldn't figure it out so I replaced the motor with a revtech 10.5. After that it did the same exact thing but kept getting worse so I put a momba max pro in and no problems since. I'm still waiting for hobby king to inspect it for warranty.
