Default what motor and esc would be better

so I'm starting a truggy build, and I thinking of running the momba max pro and either the novak 18.5t or the trinity 17.5t doc3 motor, or to save money, the sv2 with a hh 27t bushed motor, what r your guys thoughts, I'm somewhat new to the motors, in my wraith I'm running the momba max pro and trinity set up and I just put the sv2 and 27 hh in my 85 toyota build, and I haven't got to run it yet, but I had a goat 3s set up but could never get it to run right, so I thought I would try it with the momba max, any thoughts

It will really depend on what you are looking for. Even the best/smoothest sensored brushless setup will not have the low speed control of a nice brushed setup but they will have wheelspeed for days.

You can go for silky smooth low end but a little slower (still good wheelspeed) or wheelspeed without the a rougher lower end or somewhere in between.

For my money on a scaler its hard to beat a really nice brushed setup with a good brushed ESC (Tekin, CC, Holmes) and either a nice handwound (Br00d or Holmes) or a Holmes puller motor. If I had money to spare I would go Holmes Puller, seems like a proven setup.

If you don't like it you could easily sell it in the classifieds.
