FS gt3b 3 pos 3rd channal without hack

tmk there is no mod for the gt3b to have a 3pos 3rd channel w/o the hack. when i got the hack for mine i only wanted it for the 3pos and dual esc mixing but before i knew it i was using a total of 6chs

Wondering what it is that you want to work with a three position channel?

well Duuuuuuuude, looks like they got us, been searching the net for hours and cant find anything about a 3 pos switch. hell of a lot of people asking about it though.

Not picking on Heyok, but I would suggest the hack as well as the VR upgrade for the GT3B. The VR upgrade helps battery life and the hack gives a lot of options down the road as well as a few fixes upfront.
The Heyok adaptor only fixes one issue for about the same $$.

I agree!

You end up with a great transmitter and you will need to control things with all those extra channels!

Its getting the regulator no matter what.

I don't need any more than 3 channels, and don't see the need for quite some time.

the extra channels are a down fall. have to buy stuff to control with em. guess i could throw a dig on my ax10 aswell

thats what im thinking. id need 2 controllers,$60 or just one hack $25 + whatever i decide i cant like without to control with my extra channels$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

So what you're saying is that in the long run its cheaper to run the Heyok controller?

You know, my controllers are also used to replace the (often broken) controllers that come with the 3Racing winchs and to add the "no drift" feature to a servo winch. So you might need/want my controller no matter which transmitter you end up with.

That was my thoughts all along. I'm going to convert one of my toasted TP servos into a winch and will need the controller for it anyway.

yep. so many wants,so little money to make em happen.

im running one truck with my 2.4 converted jr xs3, the 3rd channel there can be set a a on/off switch, or spool out/retract.

i got it set as on/off and use servo reverse to spool and retract it. works pretty good

the gt3b as you know is in or out. right now, i got the EPA at zero one direction and use servo reverse to spool/retract
but when you turn off radio, make sure its set to spool out so you dont kill the winch when you turn the radio back on. be ready hit the botton when you power it back up,winch will start to unspool on ya

it would just be a little easier to hit a switch instead of flipping through the menu.

Why pull up such an OLD post?...especially when not even answering the question. He asked for a 3 position channel, not controlling a 360* servo

True. The "cheat" does not yield three discreet positions as you point out; it yields multiple positions and as the post states, is useful for only some servo functions.

Therefore, if someone was wanting a "3 position channel" for the purpose of using a winch or cam pan then this would provide an answer.
