Need help with a radio mod

ok so this is want i need help with i have been searching and asking but nobody can seem to help. I want to know if and how to add a toggle to a channel any channel so i can shut it off and turn it on at will thanks for any help guys. oh also the mods going to be done to a dynam 4-ch twin stick. looks like 3 wires for each channel.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Ideally you would wire in a sort of bypass loop that bypasses the pot(im guessing it is a pot) and applys whatever voltage you want (probably controlled by another pot) to control the signal to a value you want.

I have a dynam 4 channel twin stick that came with a plane I have. I'm going to use it on my scaler and want to be able to shut off the channel running the winch. pretty much i don't want to run it by mistake again. snapped the line that came with it pretty ez not sure the 100lb test line I replaced it with will

Yea so then you need a double pole switch, one side would be your current pot or switch wiring (I would cut the hot), the other side would go to a pot or resistor or nothing depending on what voltage needs to go through to tell the radio that you are not trying to activate the channel.

Are you using a switch to control the winch or one of the sticks or what?

i was planning on using one of the sticks but i think i found something that may work. I took an old trim switch of an old traxxas trx and replaced it for one of the stick channels. I still can't shut the channel off but this way is alot harder to run the winch by mistake. I also found out i had an open port in my trans for landing gear so i wired that up its only a two way also tho only two wire port but i will use it for something.
