| 4pl to 4pk should I do it??
As the title states, I'm thinking of buying a 4pk and selling my 4pl. Is it worth it? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2 |

why are you thinking from going to a 4pl to a 4pk? I see people going from 4pks to 4pl's quite often...i know of afew people that sold their 4pk for a gt3b.

I can't think of a reason. Why are you considering it?? A 4PL will do most of what a crawler wants/needs unless you're running a scaler. In that case I can see going to more channels then I would suggest a hacked GT3B. Yes, I'm a Futaba "fan-boy" so I take having someone leave the Futaba fold seriously. |

Not really Sure why. I like the lanyard and drop down wheel. Might get one for a good price and then I would sell my 4pl to a friend in need. Decisions, decisions... Thanks guys... Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2 |

Personally I wouldn't switch. The 4Pl can do most of what the 4pk does but is an easier set up, cheaper, samller, and doesn't look like it belongs as a controller on the starship enterprise.

If you can afford the best, but the 4pk. You will not be sorry, and you will laugh at the people who say swap meet radios are just as good. The 4pl is a decent radio, but compared to the 4pk it is a definite step down.

I swapped from a 4pl. I was super hesitant too. I absolutely hated the way I had to setup the rear dig for the 4pk on the handle grip. This is the worst part of the radio IMO. It took me close to 3 months to get used to it and thats driving a lot. The way the 4pk does a front dig is worth the switch alone in my opinion. Its a much faster/better way to do a dig with a push button than with a toggle button. I am a lot faster and more efficient after going to the 4pk. The 4pk's menu/setup seems much easier to me. Not that it would be a deciding factor for me.... 4pk has more button options for supers which is probably the 2nd most valuable thing to me. The lanyard is really nice but you can add one to a 4pl if youre handy The drop down steering wheel or, in my case the step up wheel is really, really nice. I never realized how uncomfortable my wrist was on the 4pl. The 4pl was a very nice/decent radio. My biggest regret is ever getting used to the toggle switch dig setup. I wish I would have had a 4pk so I didnt have to learn it but rather know no better. Edit: If you need a 4pks I have my spare that I would let go for cheap. IMO, for a super (or any rig with rear steer), a scrolling thumbwheel is necessary.
