Default losi mrc xcelorin issue

i just bought a losi mrc from a member on here it is a new build it came rtr minus the radio so when i received it i got my losi radio and went to bind it and when i do so i get steering but no forward or reverse what could be the issue? i have never had a losi i did run a jumper wire from the motor to the battery like on a moa and when i do the motor barley turns and makes a horrible noise and thats it. kinda sounds like its binding badly but its not you can turn the wheels smoothly but the motor is really hot.

1-You CAN'T jumper a battery to brushless motor like you can with a brushed motor!

2-Did you calibrate the ESC to the RX? You do that after the TX & RX are bound.

Is it the sensored version? If so, do you have the sensor cable plugged in properly?

You might try reversing the throttle channel on your radio, then recalibrating....

Binding is between the TX & RX.
Calibrating is setting up the ESC to the RX. Typical is like:

1-Turn on TX
2-Hold full forward on TX & power up the ESC
3-Wait for "chime"
4-Go to full reverse in TX
5-Wait for "chime"
6-Go to neutral on TX
7-Done.
