Question I need help - ESC for dual motor rig

I should probably put this on rcmt but what the heck. I just picked up a racing clod that came with trinity matched motor set. I also have a brxl sitting here as well. Can the brxl be wired up and handle both motors?

What do I need special to make this work (radio, etc)?

I know nothing about Clods, racing clods, or dual motor setups

it can work for crawling, but if you're gonna race it, go with a novak esc. Its better suited for that (super rooster, super duty HV, etc..) There are many diagrams on here about wiring for dual motors too. use the search button, it will come up with something

The Matched Madness motors are 16 turn singles. You will need an ESC that is rated for 10 turn or lower single 540 motors. (8t would be best)

The BRXL could be used with a pair of 27T or higher motors. I would not recommend it for the Matched Madness motors.

The listed novaks would work if you can find one. The Castle Mamba Max Pro has no motor limit in brushed mode so it would be a good choice for an ESC that is still in production.

Last I knew the hh brxl has no brushed motor limit (it's listed on its specs) and it was tested in a dual motor emaxx on either 4s or 6s lipo (don't remember which) but it handled it so it would work in a clod racer on 2s or equivalent no issue as I've done it on my clod with dual 13t on 2s with less heat than its current Novak super rooster but I needed it for my scaler.

I guess I wasn't thinking straight on that one. I was mistaking the brxl as one of the little Tamiya ESCs instead of the Holmes.
The Holmes should work ok in a Clod.

The Mamba Monster would be a little big and bulky in a Clod but could be used if you have one.

You would have no problems with a BRXL on 2s with those motors.

We tested in a stock emaxx on 4s and 6s. On 4s there were no heat issues. On 6s it got hot enough to thermal after about 10 minutes locked in 2nd gear, but it never shut down. In first gear there weren't heat issues.

Sweet looks like I'm gonna need to get one one for my dual motor 1/6 build.
